2 times. both by troopers, once on the Interstate and once on a state highway during the fair.
Once in 2017 I can remember. Was on I95 in CT. Prolite+ so easily jammed. I had visually spotted him an slowed down long before he targeted me. I left the LI on long enough just to hear which gun he was using and then shut them off.
I haven't been hit once with laser so far in 2018. Mostly because laser is only used on the highway and Waze works so well on the highway.
17 times in 2017 and 15 times so far in 2018. It is HUGE in certain corridors in the non Manhattan boroughs.
Had my first laser encounter in a long while. Traveling through Chattanooga toward Atlanta, right after crossing the state line into Georgia there was a county mounty shooting laser. He was marked on Waze, so no issue for me.
Sumter County, just south of Alachua and Marion Counties uses aircraft all the time. I got it there about 8 years ago before Waze and my aircraft PCAS. Now, they're doing it north of Gainesville on NB and SB 75 going Howard High Sprimgs and Lake City. Waze has em marked 99% of time. You'll see clumps of blue hats on map from multiple reports. Just south if Ocala too, about 10 miles south part the FL turnpike split is another area. On nice days, FL lives their aircraft and now lidar too. They're not as good as GA with lidar however. GA is king!
How do Wazers know aircraft is actively being used? And how is it marked? Just as normal ‘hidden’ police? Thankfully I don’t live in FL anymore but I do go down for some football games every so often
