Also I had an MRCD on and MRCD off profile on my DSP with no other changes.
Didn’t make a difference in Ka detection from what I saw with it on or off. (Other than MRCD falses lol)

That Redline within margin of error on this test.....WOW!!! M3 keeping up with the Unidens. Impressive.
Hey @Jag42 , @Brainstorm69 @Dukes @Vortex I was thinking, three major tests today ( thanks guys!!). Why is it lately that the Redline is running very close to the Unidens in all the tests? Is it possible that over time ( nearly a year now next month) that the Unidens are exhibiting some operational degradation in performance? Not accusing, just asking.

Looking at TXCTG and Dukes tests, it seems as if the Redlines are all within 98-100% ( or real close ) of the Unidens. Last year ( 2017) the margins were wider.

I only ask because years ago we'd see this with the old V1s requiring periodic returns to VR for tune ups? Or are we just looking at two very hot Redlines that nip at the heels of the R3?? Old Nelly's spirit is starting to raise from the dead a bit.

Well, unless you make it a really, really tough course, there isn't that much difference. However, I'm wondering if all the added features and SW stuff Uniden is doing is starting to take its toll. May be time to bust out a 1.26 fw vs. 1.36 fw test ...;)

Don't want to throw this thread off track, but the last three tests show the Redline within margin of error on Dukes and yours. Could be firmware or use over time? I saw it years ago with V1. Could 1.35 or 1.36 be asking the Uniden to do to much?

Good point. Might be worth discussing separately.

4500-5000 feet of warning for an approximately 70-degree (or more) off-axis signal. Very nice. I'll take one of each.

Nice work, as usual, guys! Great results by the Redline indeed.
Guess no Pro-M was available

Pro M was tested on 35.5, just not 34.7. But it looks like they have more results coming!

Thanks, I saw it was not in the 34.7 list and hence, incorrectly, assumed the same group was tested on 35.5.

The Pro-M did well on this 35.5 test, but not so well on the following over the hill test from this weekend:
www.rdforum.org: TXCTG- Ka 35.5 o/hill and Forward facing testing. 2/17/18. R1/R3/ProM/V1/Redline/RXP/

What was the thinking behind running the Uniden in Ka narrow vs segged on 35.5, which has been shown to hobble reception up to 10% at times?
Was it to try to "match" the Radenso Pro-M settings?

Did anyone do any testing to see if the RCM has better KA performance when segged? I highly doubt it, but thought I'd ask!

Didn't really think about it, @schissler runs his R3 in those settings so that's what we tested.

How do you segment the RCM? I don't see any option that allows specific segmentation except for the use of Narrow and Wide. Does Narrow cover 6? I thought it was 2, 5, 8...but I'm new and could be way off.

Oops wrong detector. Testing too many at once L0L

On my RCM .......
34.3 OFF
35.5 ON
34.7 ON
33.8 ON

Should turn 34.3 off unless MRCD MRCT Gatso is needed.

Ok, so when comparing the results be aware that a different vehicle was used during these runs. My pickup truck was used in the first results posted and a car was used for these results. Meaning the detectors were not mounted the same and were not at equal heights. Also, these specific results were marked using the V1driver app.

@BaileyAB and @edconline can add more as they were in the vehicle during these runs.

Here are the results:

Thank you @Dukes.

@Dukes with note there were different vehicles (Truck, Impreza, Golf and Chrysler 200) can you make one graph with all averages ?

And also Net Radar and Net Radar DSP were mounted in the grill on these testings... Only one DSP was on the dash in the truck (graph in first post)...
