Hey everyone. I'm Mike from Clemson, SC and have been using RD's for 30 years. I'm in the market for the latest and investing in an ALP system with either NR DSP or Radenso RC-M...I've currently got a Redline (original) and a 9500ix. I love the range on the Redline but the BSM alerts drive me crazy. I've been lurking for a few weeks trying to absorb all the latest in the technology advances and I've learned so much from this group that I decided to jump in too and hopefully provide my experiences as well.

Welcome! Sounds like you have done your research, ALP is the way to go for laser and netradar DSP and Radenso RC-M are both solid performing RD's with better filtering and range than the redline. We'd love to hear your experiences, the more knowledge from different areas the better we all become at avoiding traps :)

Heres my thoughts on the 2 mentioned Remote Units ...

The ALP/Net Radar is a nice combo (i own) but I still prefer the ALP/RCM.(i own).

The RCM and Radenso s in general just have a better Algorithm for quietness IMHO.

THE Net Radar w/o its BT App is very much like a V1(i own). Very Noisey on K Band Alerts. It does not lock out K Band Falses if it sees the same signal again especially w k band stationary Falses like Home Depot etc. compared to the RCM which will Mute if tap it. The NR will Mute at first then it will unmute itself.

Extremely annoying Albeit if you have the BT App then it will "suppress" the alert.

I REALLY LIKE the ease of seeing the display on my RCM snd the Arrows grow as Threat gets Closer !!! Niiice. :)

I slso like that i can change both Front and Rear antennaes SEPARATELY and on the Fly with the RCM display. The RCM also detects yhe newest Threats headed to the US from Europe and Canada as a Bonus !! Radenso got a year on other Manufacturers on R and D fir these threats.

The RCM display is well thought out.

The Net Radar has a Nice BT App that also shows the Arrows. But if you do not run BT all you get is 2Leds. And of course the ALP HiFi .

The WEAKNESS ON BOTH REMOTES is an ALP LIMITATION!!-----

If you run the Net Radar BT App you lose your voice commands
If you run the RCM Display you lose your voice commands

ALP does not allow BOTH BT and Controller at the same time

Of the two Remotes i am favoring the RCM/ALP combo.

But the jury is still out. --/-/.

    Btw:
I really HATE the fact I have to have a computer to change setts on my Net Radar. Cant change settings on the BT App aNR either. Why i like the RCM display instead . That snd Arrows w/i needing an app.

    Welcome aboard!

I've been tromping through your area of the woods for almost 40 years now. I haven't seen much laser, just radar and more C/O than I'm used to, living here in GA (I"m NOT complaining ;)).

That's not to say that laser isn't there, or won't be more laser and I/O there in the near future. So, being ahead of the curve with the RCM/ALPs would certainly be in order.

I'm looking forward to getting my RCM installed (I've had its predecessor, the HD+ which was PLENTY sensitive, albeit a bit noisy) and "looking for trouble" around there again... :p

Benzr - Appreciate the feedback on both of these units! That helps A LOT because I've been on the fence on which to choose, specifically for those reasons you cited. Since the RCM is so new there isn't a lot of reviews or testing but initial thoughts seem to be very good, especially for the BSM alert filtering.

HotRodEv - Yes, laser around here isn't very prevalent, definitely more I/O Ka BUT I'm traveling regularly to your neck of the woods for work so trying to prepare for that area as much as possible. :)
