i am currently running a v1/v1 driver app I was thinking of running a r1/r3 also with a switch so that when it alerts I can switch over to the v1

Sort of like a highway/city mode only one detector would be on at a time to prevent interference

I ran a Radenso HD+ with the V1 to get a similar scenario as what you are trying to accomplish here. I got long range AND the situational awareness of a bird-dog pointing out the bird (LEO) once I got close enough to the source.

Your combo/setup may work well. You would have to wait for the V1 to finish booting up and would be blind for a little bit though and I don't know if there would be a problem with the SNR floor (guys, keep me honest here - do V1's work like some Escorts work in that regard?) coming on in the midst of an alert.

I don’t think this would suit you well. During an alert you need to be 100% focused on the alert/LEO/situation.

Honestly, I’d just go with a remote and WS mount. If I were to do this sort of thing, I’d get a V1, to pair with my Stir-O. Try that

That’s an interesting angle that I didn’t consider you definitely don’t wanna be fumbling around with switches during an encounter

Thanks. Yeah. Especially up here where I live it’s short encounters. Sometimes seconds. In those seconds you have to check your speed, hit the brakes, find out if it’s I/O, C/O. Too much to do at one time. Ya know?

Yeah, and you can't run them simultaneously anywhere near eachother - an R1 or R3 running near a V1 will reduce the effectiveness of both.

I am confident in saying enough evidence has been shown to prove interference. Especially 2 on the same side(end) of the cabin.

My strategy for Ka or laser, is brake hard, then ask questions.

Has anyone made a grounded foil barrier case (open front/back) to put each unit in to prevent sideways communication? Then put each in a small item to hide things in each corner and use a V1 remote display? Starting up the V1 would be a pain for sure with volume.

I know foil doesn't work on a wireless helmet-detector link. I still got external interference around town.
