@PointerCone but the problem with Escort is they have a sketchy track record with trying to improve their BSM filtering capabilities. I'd be nervous to trust Escort.

Valentine Research could have added additional logic for seeing paired weak signals as the V1 typically can identify and track both BSM sensors on cars. I typically see 2 on the bogey counter for the few BSM falses I get. I think Escort is playing around with this and it would increase risk for "better" filtering. I personally haven't see a detector do better than the V1 unless range is cut back on K or some fuzzy (risky) logic is used to make an attempt to inch ahead.

I know you're not running an EX @cihkal , but in all honesty, its "solid" on K Band falsing. Add to the IVT, the stationary lockouts through Truelock and the thing is eerily quiet. I run it in my winter 4 X 4 and its as if its NOT turned ON. When the wife comments on a drive to Wisconsin (think I-90) for snowmobiling how quiet it is, you know the jig is up. As you well know, Chicago is the land of the K band stationary and mobile false and my EX is extremely quiet. Just wish Mike V would license JunkK/TMF2 to ER for their units. Also, the EX really doesnt give up much, if any, on K band as I experienced this weekend with a multitude of K band construction/warning signs and also IDOT plows running K band drones.

Well I definitely trust your judgement on the EX, and if anything you see worse threats than I do even though we're close.

Can you run it in highway? This seems like at the very least a good replacement for my wife's LRD950 one day, and it's future proof. I really should give it a try.

I only run it in highway with TSR off. No issues. It gets an occasional K band PT, but so does my Junk K V1 as well. Both are equally quiet on BSM falsing, but EX has edge with Truelock/Autolearn.

And still the question of whether Escort built a delay into K band detection when TSR is off so their IVT can work right goes unanswered.

The hardwired V1 has so far passed the girlfriend test. She had been running a DFR6. Now with the V1 in place she says it almost never goes off. V1 + V1Driver = success

I have said ot before only punch through I get with TMF2 is when really close. Also set up K filter to say 2 bars in JBV1. As for lockouts JBV1 takes care of that.

Mine runs super quiet, it’s finely tuned but 35.5 Ka just isn’t giving me quite as much warning as I read about with the R3 and others. I’m running the most recent version within the last two years.

It’s in the city around Vegas, the highways here curve and meander.

Still getting K band PT on Caddy Escalades ( brand new ones with elongated Taillights ) on V1. It's not perfect, but it's good.

Escort days TSR not required @Brainstorm69 . I see no difference on the EX however. On the Max360, it's downright dangerous to run TSR on , IVT and Auto mode. Might as well turn K band off in that case.

@PointerCone - I realize TSR on is not required to make the RLEX filter K-band well these days. But as you may remember, when it first came out, the RLEX didn't filter anything on K-band unless TSR was on, which seemed to indicate that a delay was needed for IVT to work. Then Escort "fixed" the problem with a FW release. My question is whether in the new FW, did Escort just build in a delay even though TSR is off. If we could get a nice repeatable process (I don't trust my hand timing), it would be interesting to time some QT shots against the RLEX with TSR off and TSR on to see whether TSR off has a delay like TSR on (i.e., did Escort really do something magical to fix IVT, or did they just build in a delay on K-band even though TSR is off).
