You can ask vendor for warranty then!

Wait you still having problems with the A119S? I thought it was working now?

There's always the factory reset before doing the warranty thing.

The A119S is doing great. We were talking about the GW1-C that the VIOFO replaced.

Took out the SD card today and checked the video files on my laptop. DARN it was a bit blurry and the color rendition is awful. WTF my cheaper GW1-C has way way better video quality than this.

OOOPPPSSSSS I forgot to take out the protective plastic cover on the CPL, lol.

Im using the transcend high endurance 64GB in my A119S and it mostly works good. I empty the card about every other day, and I almost always have a file or 2 that cannot be read. It's a little annoying when you lose some footage you were looking foward to posting. Hoping to get my blueskysea soon to see how that works.

    Lol.

Well I found the issue. Looks like it's the steering wheel to pedal interface.

The SD card might need to be changed. I had that problem where in some files just get corrupted.

Thanks for the advice. I kinda assumed that but the card has been doing it since about a week after I got it. It's got a good warranty and it wasn't cheap, but the whole return/ exchange thing is just a PITA. I'm just gonna continue to deal with it unless it gets worse.

The reason I got this A119S was because my GW1-C was missing some recordings randomly. Sometimes the entire day and at times a few segments of a trip. I just don't want to have an accident and the dashcam set up had a hiccup during that time. GEICO will be very happy if I don't have a recording.

Is it safe to say that this a good buy for a 1st dash cam? I'm looking at reviews now, and I'm leaning towards the A119s as my 1st dash cam.

It doesn't have the absolute best in any category but it's still excellent.

But it definitely leads in bang for the buck though.

Starvis sensor (very good for lowlight)
    1080p 60fps
    ~20mbps
GPS (makes taking the cam with you a breeze too)
    WDR
    Collison detection
    Optional polarizing filter

You can get it for less than $100usd I believe.

I had posted for suggestions on a budget dashcam and the Viofo was the strong leader.

    www.rdforum.org: Budget Dashcam options?

I wound up buying a used blackvue with a stack of 64GB cards instead - otherwise I would have got the viofo. If you're not in a rush keep your eyes on the for sale section.
