Hey Benzr if youre talking about me and my Pro M, I called Radenso they said they would swap it out (my old RM077 unit for a GEN 2) for a $20 USD return shipping charge for the old unit. I thought about it and then I realized Visions got the Uniden R3 in stock, and after further research and seeing proof that they are picking up the RedFlex SUV's around Calgary, I am happy to say that I just picked up an R3 (not a MAX 360). Could not be happier. Best money I ever spent.

Thanks for the help guys. Ill be over in the Uniden section from now on. Cheers.

    That’s awesome Lenny. I didn’t think the R3’s could sweep down to a pulsed 23.990, 24.030, and 24.070?
If beingaware in Australia says it can be done, then the R3’s an great choice.
As long as the MRCD doesn’t make its way from Edmonton to Calgary, and it will pick up Redflex, you should be in good shape.
I’m sorry I don’t know much about them. No MRCD is a no go for me in Edmonton.

Yes, as we do not currently have MRCD all is good, the R3 has already picked up 2 redflexs on my daily drive. However Vortex did mention in a recent video that Uniden is working on MRCD. When asked for more details he said he could not divulge. However, when asked if it would be a new radar detector or a firmware update; he responded by saying that the R3 has the same hardware as the Net Radae DSP?? Not sure how that works but he said he can see MRCD being included a firmware update. If that happens to be the case then I am more than happy.

My thinking is as long as The City of Calgary keeps making money from the RedFlex's, RLC/Speed Cams, and LEO's than hopefully they dont bother with MRCD. But if it does come then hopefully Uniden has it figured out by then.

    Cheers

That’s great. There’s a detector for everyone, not a single one that can do it all.

I hope they would fix the 34.7 and 34.3 FALSING issues.

My Recently purchased DSP does NOT pick up MRCD ATM. Neither does my R3.

My RCM does. So does my ProM.

See ya around the Uniden Forums.

    peace,

I have been posting regarding the 34.7 and 34.3 falsing issue with the RPM. It usual starts as a level 7 to full alert lasting for 1-3 seconds. It is like getting hit by I/O. On I87 today it was spewing 34.3 then 34.7 and then another 34.7. Alright we had another episode of falsing. When suddenly my R3 went full blast Ka 34.7 and in a second or 2 the RPM alerted as well. Oh yes legit NYSP. If I didn't have the R3 I might have considered it as another 34.7 false alert and I would have been fried. These 34.7 and 34.3 is very undersirable. I randomly play around having R3 and RPM play together from time to time. Mind you with or without the R3 the RPM falses to 34.3/34.7/33.8.

I wonder if u have a defective unit. My ka is set to narrow. I have never had that happen.

The only weird thing was this past weekend. I was parked next to my neighbors car and he has the M as well (gen 1). He was using an obd2 reader on his car. I got a 35.5 alert. Switched to a 34.7 alert and then back to a 35.5 alert. Then silent. 35.5. I consider to be all falses That was really the only time I have seen the M act wonky. But at the same time. I can’t rule out a legit 34.7 because cop cars do run 34.7

I don't have a Pro M, but I have an RPSE that falses 34.3, very odd but I definitely see it a few times a week.

Thats HIGHLY UNUSUAL. Neither My Pro SE s did that nor my new Pro M.

That sounds more like a cell tower overpowering or some kind of satellite transmitting or possibly a traffic Cam.

You see on my Vids traipsing throughout Atlanta ... even Heavy Traffic and even DIRECTLY THROUGH DWNTWN non of that Falsing ... ever.

You may have a bad unit ... Is your Serial RM077 xxx??
    Or RM087xxxx. ??

    Check your surroundings.
Im curious to know what it is. ...

I have the same issue but ONLY when I run the R3; the R3 makes the RPM false to 34.XXX. My RPM also makes my Redline EX false to 36.6XX when the RPM is up front and the EX is on my back deck, no falsing using the R3 up front.

I ended up returning my Pro-M (for now) recently due to the 34.3 falsing and lower detection range (per tests) in some cases. As the return period was almost up and no response yet from Radenso, I had no choice but to return it as I prefer to have zero falsing on Ka.
Using my R3 exclusively now, but would consider getting the Pro-M again if Radenso can get 34.3 falsing resolved and also improve (off axis) Ka detection range, as the Pro-M falses noticeably less to BSM than my R3 on K band (even when the latter set to 50% in Advanced sensitivity mode).

Play around with your K band and TSRej settings to where your comfortable and happy.
Even on K9 in City mode, you have at least 1000 feet detection, but you don’t need it in the city anyway.
You do on the Henday and any where out side the city like. St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Ft. Saskatchewan.

Yesterday. I ran k band at level 5 and it was picking everything. I didn’t know if it was speed signs that I can’t see or if it was door openers. I raised it 6 and 7 and it was still driving me crazy. So I set it back to level 9

There is a very noticeable drop in detection range. I know solar speed signs isn’t a good way to test range. But at level 9. I can clearly see the speed signs before I get an alert. I would 150-200m. At level 5-7. the alert comes on way earlier. This is all city roads though. Whitemud and yellow speed signs. I will get greater range on level 9

I guess I should of mentioned my 1000 feet on K9 was with my low powered Bushnell K gun, not a speed sign. I was also on US4 and -21C.
    I haven’t tested US6 yet.
    My bad.

I forget to mention 150-200m on level 9 is the shortest distance of some speed signs. Some speed signs on urban roads. It’s 400m or so

The M would be super quiet if there were no speed signs. But we have like 200 speed signs and another 150 coming
