Anyone interested in starting a "Valentine Tifosi" (as PointerCone puts it :)) social group?

Edit: Group formed! Go here to join: https://www.rdforum.org/index.php?forums/213/

For those of us that have seen the (red blinking) light and let arrows guide the way :smug:

@johnboy00 @cihkal @mswlogo @Windstrings @mikedotd @woopies @Deacon @LouG @ALS @Tallyho @mrmagloo @The Only Sarge ?

Would probably be more of a badge of honor (once social group icons return) since there is already a V1 forum, but it would also be nice to have a place for discussions away from the trolls :orks:

:v1:

Post here or send me a PM if interested and I'll work on getting it setup.

Y'all notice how many posts there are regarding non-functioning R1s & R3s? And at least as many if not more posts unhappy with Escort.

My V1 rocks. If there was something better I'd have it.

In that case, we might as well start a contra-group called the M3 fanatics :):) Or the Uniden "nut jobs." How about those who run all three ,is there a portmanteau for all three?? UniValenEscort??

There is!! Just dont believe a LOT of the trolls who are trolling Uniden because of their success the past few years.

One post by @InsipidMonkey and the tifosi are out in force. You guys are just like the Ferrari tifosi. Even when they're losing , they're winning!!

I'm only interested if we have to sign in blood, get identifying insignias in the shape of Mike Valentine's noggin, and have quarterly meetings with Mike at VR where we take an oath of fidelity.

I'm not saying I do any of these already without anyone's knowledge.

Better in raw range, but the V1 is better all around for me at least after owning the nice R3. Really hard to beat a V1/V1Driver combo unless you only consider range.

Don't get me wrong the R series is an amazing detector. Still have a R1 serial #2 in the family.

Ironically I had a close call with my V1 and 33.8GHz this morning that I'll be posting video of when I get home tonight. I had ka-guard enabled so there was still some performance left on the table, but I was surprised none the less. I guess I'll be going back to euro-mode.

Sure. I don't get the bashing stuff. I have no problem understanding that some detectors are better suited for different environments, and folks should have the right to spend their hard earned as they see fit.

Oh man, looking forward to the video!

I've gone back to Euro recently as well.

You know, you really should try V1Driver for Android (what I use) and JBV1. Just for the fun of it at least

You see guys, even when you're losing, you're winning!!! ^ ^ ^

My R3 or M3 has never given me these problems, BUT that's also why I always run Euro mode on my .894/5 Traditionally, V1 has been very good on MPH 33.8, so that is surprising?? I don't see much 33.8 any more, so here its usually not an issue. Most IL Depts and even FL seem to be running 34.7 anymore and some 35.5 ; 33.8 is becoming the rare bird.

You know from RD.NET a LOT of this stems back from the old battles on there. RR loved to feed the fire of discontent about the V1 and relished in the arguments.

thanks

Then a subforum for V1 Moment authors?

The conspiracy theorist will think it is a place for V1 owners to privately complain about the V1...

You mean the venting of total BS section?? I've gotten second place, BUT never the V1 vest for my stories. Most of them are total unadulterated BS from the facts!! He never publishes the one where the guy in NC gets jacked by IO or the guy (on here) with a brand new one gets IO jacked too!!! :):)

I briefly played around with JBV1 last week, @johnboy00 is doing an awesome job on his app. I knew BTE had lower latency, but I was really impressed with how much faster it is compared to standard BT once I saw it in action. At some point I'll check out V1Driver too, although I almost always have my phone out running Waze so I don't think it's as suited to my use case as YaV1 and JBV1 may be.

I realize that’s supposed to be sarcastic (I think) but it’s pretty true. If it had R3 sensitivity, I wouldn’t be running an R3.
