Also when they showing the model number the arrow is pointing up so I'm guessing that there is nothing that has been tampered with. The only setting when you go through the one through eight and then the numbers that has a downward-facing arrow is the one that looks like a b or a six with the right side of that Circle missing which is right before the L setting. Does everything sound correct? If so I guess I have a faulty dongle or a faulty unit?

Sounds like everything is setup correct, and you tried testing multiple wires. Seems to me the issue with the data connection is elsewhere. Could be in the BT adapter, the two port outlet, or the detector itself. Somewhere along the path the data signal is not making it from the detector to the adapter. I'd suggest giving V1 a call.

Yeah, sounds like you've done a good job troubleshooting so far.

The solid blue indicates it has power and is connected to the phone via bluetooth. One of the four wires in the phone cord connection carries the "data" signal between the V1 and accessories, that's what's not making the connection, it seems.

I don't have a schematic of the 2 port plug, but you can probably test for continuity on pin 1 and pin 4 between the v1 port and accessory port.

When calling V1 support they will ask if you are using the provided wiring and plugs. Once had an issue it was the wiring was not providing enough voltage to the V1. Tried the V1 coil cord and worked, so i knew i needed to swap cords

Have you tried unpairing and re-pairing your BT dongle? I had this issue once and that solved it.
