    Does anyone that has this detector see alot of falses on Ka? I seem to get nothing but falses as any alert stops after a second or two.

    It's never the same frequency either sometimes 34.7 or 35.5.

    I am disabling K tonight to see if that helps.

    Display is impossible to see in the day and not bright at night.

    I had expected more from this one or at least equal my RX65

    @mainecrab - haven't really seen that when testing Jag42's 9200 BT.

    @Jag42 - I know you haven't used yours in a while, but what's your experience been driving around when you did?

    How do you have it configured?
    What kind of car is it in?

    I never had this issue with mine. Have you used the app to configure it?

    Mine only gives falses when approximately 150 feet from low placed satellite dishes 33.744 displayed. Other than that pretty good on Ka frequency false filtering.

    It is in a Pontiac Grand Prix but also tried it in my Tahoe. I have it set to X off, K on, Ka on, QuiteDrive off, Auto Quiet Off. Mostly in Highway mode. I expect K falses from vehicles and those are not actually bad. Though it is a refurbished unit maybe it has issues? Its definitely not a ton of falses but I only got them once in a blue moon for Ka on any other detector that were false.

    I have used the application as well. I think this weekend I will need to do some testing as I do have a have a Stalker DSR unit. I only had one legit Ka band warning and it wasn't very good range. I will admit it was over a median in the HOV lane but it was facing towards me and my Rx65 usually picked those up a good distance away.

    Definitely not enough testing time for me to be 100 percent but just noting what I am seeing. Will keep testing and report anything back. Thanks for the responses everyone!

    34.7 and 35.5 are typical real frequencies... does it happen in areas where there are side streets or such or in the middle of nowhere?? perhaps it's a legit alert just the officer is a couple blocks over and you are catching some off axis radar?

    Yes I am aware that they are legit frequencies. I am on a freeway so there are roads on the side but I am sure they are not off axis as it blips one second alert comes no ramp up then goes away. This is everytime this happens. When I get a real alert it will ramp up past that point. I know some could be far off and be caught but that doesn't seem to be the case and no other detector I had has done something similar, while everyone here seems to indicate this is not what they have seen.

    It is under warranty so contacting the seller for replacement if possible. I cannot get the thing to connect to my Android phone for the live of me only an iOS device.

    Tested it today with the RX 65 so running about 3 feet from each other. The Cobra did alert a few seconds early on most alerts. So maybe I am mistaken on it's issues but I did see a odd occurrence of a 34.7 signal being seen as 35.5 from the Cobra. The RX 65 showed 34.789 or so and the Cobra 35.5 before the signal bars. Still a win though it alerted to Ka before the Escort.

    Looks like I'll be keeping it and testing further.
