@johnboy00 due to many requests we've gone ahead and created you a section here on RDF for your JBV1 application.

I have gone ahead and moved relevant threads to this section and after I am done with pushing our new theme live (by the end of this weekend), I will discuss with you on how we can go about letting you manage this section (creating stickies, etc).

Shoot me a private message if you have any questions or need anything. I'll be in touch soon.

Once JBV1 is complete and someone is willing to do a detailed "how to" and review we can make it a sticky.

I look forward to the finished product and see how it compares to YaV1, which i love.

Is any app ever really done?

Have you not tried it yet? YaV1 won't find out if you do.

This app is the cats meow for the V1. Very easy to navigate and use with lots of extras that get better daily.

I'm blown away by the functionality and forward thinking of JBV1.

Super nice feature - JBV1 automagically starts as soon as my LE dongle powers up and then JBV1 starts Waze. Two less steps every time I jump into the saddle.

Something that occurred to me this morning and, since I haven't run into a legit radar trap yet, does JBV1 mute the V1 when it's announcing the band and frequency?

Also, feature request - the Uniden R's are going to be able to announce frequencies the the third decimal place. Could JBV1 do that too?

JBV1 could announce frequency on day one.

It does not auto mute V1 for the duration of any announcement, if that's what you mean. It will mute V1 only when you want it to.

I was thrilled when I finally had a road trip that I could really try out the APP. I'm loving it but of course I'm an old guy who's just happy to have arrows on my V1. It wasn't until I got home and was playing with my phone and the App that I discovered the Alert Log. That my friend was like Gold to me.

It will be a few weeks before I'll be out and about on a road trip where I'll need the V1. I'm so looking forward to it to again so I can play with the JBV1 App.

To the third decimal place?

I haven't run into much KA Band (virtually all I/O around here and I must not be attracting enough attention ;)) so I haven't been able to hear it.

At some point the main foundation of the app is done and all the major must haves are included.

I have not tried it, been waiting on a review or how to. With out it its no better than YaV1 for me so why change.

Is there a list of what it does? Someone sell me on this app! lol

It announces the band by default, but you can enable frequency announcement. It will announce the entire frequency shown on the alert screen, so yes, to three decimal places. See the Announce Frequency ITB/OTB settings in Audio category. For signals in a defined box, any box announcement will override frequency announcement. This is to keep announcements as terse as reasonably possible. If you have no boxes defined, just enable Announce Frequency OTB.

I wouldn't ask you to change. YaV1 is a great app, too. Mine's just a little different. All the settings are pretty well explained in the app, and I think most people will have little trouble figuring out the alert screen displays. I do need to document better what happens when clicking on what.

You are going to break me out of retirement for a review aren't you. lol
