My CR90 has worked excellent all the way around since I purchased it. I ran the two most recent updates and since then the performance has diminished greatly. I would have to say just in detection range. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.

More likely youve had some encounters where the signal was blocked producing a 1200ft detection and a date with the ticket machine

You can run a whistler in west texas because theres nothing to obstruct the signal

Whistlers aren't sensitive enough to get good detections in trees hills and corners

Sell the Whistler on Ebay to someone whos uninformed
And when they get a ticket theyll start searching online for what went wrong and that will lead him here

You have the benefit of staying ticket free and purchasing a Uniden R1 or R3
And putting your mind at ease that you have the best ws mount available

I have not gotten a ticket with it yet but the detection distance has seem to have diminished and it can be on the wide open highway. It would pick up ka and k band for miles previously. I have 4 vehicles and I have different detectors in each one. I have the R1 in my Charger, and yes you are correct about it being the best out there. I sold my Max 360 for $450 and purchased it. I wanted to see how well my Cobra RAD 450 performed so for 3 weeks I ran the Rad 450 and the Max 360 in my vehicle. I never set out to do a comparison but after 3 weeks and having access to a roadside speed detection sign, I quickly realized that the Max 360 was way over priced. The Rad 450 had better filtering and only in a few cases, curves and blind corners, did the Max out perform the Cobra by more than 2 to 3 seconds. I sold the Cobra to a buddy of mine with a honest disclosure. He actually was with me on a 4 hour trip when I was running both RDs. As you can tell I like to see what everyone is up to and move on if I'm not totally amused. The Uniden did just that and I don't see it going anywhere for a while. Thanks for the comment and sorry if I got off subject for a bit. Thanks again
