So I've got the Max 360c on hand at the moment, along with several other Escort detectors, and I figured I'd do a series of photos to compare the size and design with other RD's.

Here's the Max 360c next to the original. It is smaller, but not significantly smaller.

    Max360 and Max 360c.

Style-wise, it looks more like the iX.

    iX, Max 360c, and Max360.

Here it is with the Redline EX.

    Redline EX and Max 360c.

and here's Escort current top radar detectors all lined up together.

iX, Redline EX, Max 360c, Max360.

and of course, next to the R3. :)

    R3 and Max 360c.

Not only is the 360c a bit smaller than the 360, but visually, I found it looked smaller on the WS just because Escort tapered the display end a bit.

Could you pose it with a RL-O?

Wow. That Redline is a Monster. Looks like you can use it to pound meat for veal scallopini.

Oh yeah, its Turkey day, sorry. Hungry.

nice comparison shots ... not only are the escorts bigger - but the weigh difference is substantial as well ... it's amazing holding an R v. holding a 360 or EX

what a DAMN shame, thousands of $$$ sitting there, getting beat by ONE rd, R-series. I had hopes for these originally, but man...what a shame. RL-O is still my fave!

Yes I agree. Its not as thick. From the top there it doesn't look significantly different but like you said in does seem smaller on the WS.

Sometimes I wonder if it is really necessary for the new Escorts to be so huge? Is it just a marketing thing?

That was part of the reason I went for the R3 over the Escorts, because I didn't want such a huge chunk of thing on my windshield. Besides from all the reviews from my research of the R3 and Escorts, the R3 appears to have way better performance. After a month of use with the R3, I can confirm that it is a monster with the range even comparing to my Original Redline.

The 360 models are big due to the duel horns which is necessary for arrows.

IC, wish they can design it to be smaller in the future and be as strong or better in performance as the R3.
Maybe I will reconsider an Escort again

I have to say looking at the C version I like the button layout of the original 360 SO much better. The mute button is right there and so easy to tap with on finger without having to 'hunt' for it. Also, if you press and hold it while connected to EL it marks a parked LEO that may not be using radar/laser at that time - which I used very frequently around my area. You can mark it on waze, hold the mute button, then finish the waze alert, all quickly. The new one does not seem as 'friendly' to use that feature. The volume looks easier to use, but I do not think I have ever adjusted it once after the original install.
