Would you sell the Max360 for $475 to buy the R3? Is 475 a fair price?

Well, considering the MSRP is healthy $650, it's certainly less.

One member here is selling his for $350 here.

Another said I could buy his for $400...

I'm sure somebody out there would pay $475 for it. Depends on condition, and possibly what firmware it's on. But that can always be downgraded to attract more buyers. Try eBay for the fastest sell. If it doesn't sell within a week or so, lower it in $10-15 increments. Give a good description of it because I know buyers always love a good description. I know how hard it'd be to refrain from typing negative things about it as to why you are selling it. Give good clear images of the detector all around as well. More professional the listing, the higher chance of selling.

I sold my 360 for $500 on Amazon. Amazon takes a commission, but it still means the buyer paid $500 plus shipping, so it is possible to sell it for more than the $475 you were thinking. I always start the price a little higher than what I want and if I get no takers, then I lower the price every couple weeks. I sold the 360 in two days and ordered my R3. I’m sure it helped that at the time all other 360s on Amazon were at the $650 price and mine was the cheapest one at $500. It was also in mint condition and I posted good and up close pictures of it as well.

While I agree that ER seems to be going downhill, I honestly never had any issues with my 360. I just saw how much the R3 was outperforming it based on the test results here and decided to jump ship. As far as selling the 360 to someone else.. That didn’t bother me because it is still capable of being a well performing detector if ER would push out more software updates instead of putting out “new” units like the 360c & RL EX. The 360 also saved me many tickets but I wanted to try a different brand based on results, that being Uniden with the R series. I did my research before I pulled the trigger and bought the R3 & maybe the person who bought the 360 from me didn’t, or maybe they did and thought the 360 would suit their needs. (Like needing or wanting arrows) At least they received a well maintained detector on my part and whatever ER or the person who bought it from me decides to do with it in the future is up to them, and while you may have been okay throwing $500 in the trash whether you think it’s worth that much or not, I wasn’t going to waste that money or throw away a unit that might be good enough for someone else. I may have not saved them from the headaches of some 360 users or ER, but at least I saved them $150 off retail.

The answer is YES. That would be a smart thing to do and you will end up with a little money in your pocket while getting a superior detector.

So how exactly do you un register your Escort RD before selling? I have one that I'd like to part with but do not want to provide my email address I used to register with to some random person.
