Hi,

I am wondering if there are any fellow central New York state radar detector users who would be interested in meeting up some time to test our radar detectors out and to share knowledge etc?

I am currently about 45 minutes south of Syracuse, NY and have Uniden R3 after recently selling my original Escort Redline.

My R3 has been disappointing as of yet and I am wondering if I have a lemon, have unrealistic expectations or what.

You can respond to this thread and or private message with with other contact info.

Great site that I have followed on and off for years and a lot recently with the new Uniden R3 firmware updates.

Thanks.

Fellow CNYer here, Dewitt/Fayetteville to be exact. I had the same feelings as you do...up until the other night. I had some very impressive Ka band hits in Manlius, their department is 90% Ka band. I definitely noticed a difference in range/sensitivity after the 1.31 update. I had my first 2 mile detection on 34.7 the other night, that's in a relatively urban environment with elevation changes. I'm guessing you're in the Cortland area?

I’ve been on 1.37 for awhile. I’m not going to update to 1.46 as of right now. The performance on 1.37 has been great.

Can you update up to 1.37? Or does it go straight to the latest update?
