@Matthewstorm go to www.rdforum.org: Post & Get Your User Bars Here!
scroll down and find the code for the bar(s) you want, copy the codes and paste in your Signature (found in your Profile setting) one at a time. To get to your Signature box, hold your mouse pointer on your username at the top right of the browser page, in the dropdown that appears, click Signature. Paste the code in that box and save. Repeat for each line of code you're adding.

Where can I get the TMG bar? I couldn't find that, but I've seen it.

Greetings, All!!

Like many others, I’ve been a longtime lurker... a daily reader... and now finally registering. I’m very grateful for the wealth of information shared in this forum and looking forward to participating!

Advanced tech, tool, and mobile install skills with a background in RF engineering, amateur radio, portable ops, and backcountry adventuring.... basically an over educated, small town country boy who enjoys the challenge of design, customization, keeping it stealthy, and making it “practical tactical”.

Recently changed a lot about my life, including vehicular platforms.... Learning more and more on BMW quirks across a few different models. Always enjoy the puzzle work of disassembly, mechanic’s yoga, scraped skin, head bumps & scratches, solders & crimps, garaging, and the sweet feeling of success when it all comes together.... even more so when the casual observer can barely tell what’s there =

Current projects: adding new ALP system and BlackVue 750 IR to a 328i (daily commuter) that’s already kitted with secondary battery system, power distribution, voice & data transceivers, and RF detect/intercept... I spend an inordinate amount of time during my normal workday “down times” living vicariously through the related forums (like this one!) prepping for the next hands on session.

Carry on....

Hi. I like radar detectors and think they're cool. Studying countermeasures in general is a hobby of mine because it's fun, it can be technical, and it is one of the most useful things in everyday life.

Have been browsing this forum looking at all the valuable info, RD tests, and opinions, and it's all been great and helpful. I don't usually post on sites too much but you may see me around.

Hello everyone,
New to the forum. I run an Escort Passport Max that is being repaired/updated by Escort at the moment. Hoping everything works better once returned and lasts me a little longer while I research more up-to-date options. I'm interested in learning more about radar detectors, police scanners and if there are actual solutions to concealing a license plate from those pesky cameras.

Thanks for having me!

Hello Everyone,

First time poster here just introducing myself. Been reading the forums for a while and love the information and the people on here. I'm just a fan of radar detectors since the old "Trapshooter Ultra " days (kind of shows my age). Recently upgraded from a DFR6 to a R1BBY as I drive about 400 miles each week. Hope to catch some good footage on my dashcam to share one day.

Recently my wife allegedly got laser tagged under ridiculous conditions and circumstances by our county cop and we are fighting that all the way. Now she is convinced that a RD and CM are what she want as future gifts. Makes my job easier but costlier...

Hope to give back one day as I rely on the experienced individuals in here.

Thanks all.

We have decided to bring back the requirement of making your first post here on RDF an introduction post - but hey, it's not a bad thing - on the contrary...

RDF is a rather close-knit community - a family, almost. Many of us have met each other IRL on multiple occasions, and those who haven't, well, it's probably only a matter of time if you are anything like the rest of us (countermeasure obsessed)... and even if not, you will soon realize what makes this community so great - separated by 1's and 0's or not.

When this forum was created over 5 years ago, we required each new member to post an introduction here in our Introductions & Welcome Section. Over time we eventually got rid of it, and lately we have started to realize that the decision of doing so was probably a mistake. Not because we are obsessed with gathering personal information (we'll leave that up to Google and all the other places buying/selling your browser data - and eventually losing it like Equifax) but because we genuinely want to make this community feel like a home on the web to our members. And like any new residence and neighborhood, learning your way around and meeting new people is not always a walk in the park...

Well, that's where this feature - of having your first post here on RDF as an introduction of yourself - comes into play. Tell us as much or as little as you want about yourself - ask questions, pick our brains... help us make your time spent with us as fruitful as possible.

This community was founded on, and is ran by, the selfless acts of individuals just like yourself. We pride ourselves on being as helpful, unbiased and knowledgeable as possible.

Over the past month or so our community has undergone various transformations - mainly from one forum software platform to another, which you will read about in other sections of our forum. In the coming days we will be making a few more changes which will significantly change the way our website looks, and we will be updating FAQs and stickied threads to help make these transitions as easy to navigate as possible. Until then, and even after, feel free to use this section to ask questions - no matter how basic or stupid you think they may be - trust me, we don't judge and are happy to help!

Have fun and enjoy the community, we're happy to have you!

Hello all - been a member for a couple years but haven't posted anything. Just browsing for info as needed. I've been a V1 user since 2004 and never considered anything else since (mostly because of the arrows). Recently I've learned that more options are available with arrows - most notably, the upcoming R7. For the first time, I'm considering making the switch from V1 and placed a pre-order for the R7 from BRD. Fingers crossed that it performs as well (or possibly better?) than my V1.

By way of introduction...

I bought a Uniden R3 about 2 months ago to attach to the new Mustang Bullitt I bought about 4 months ago. This is my first fun car since I sold my last NSX (with Valentine One) about 15 years ago. I've already saved myself at least 2 tickets. I will probably upgrade to the R7 at some point.

I live on the Central Coast of California with my wife and 5 dogs. I'm retired from one of the big airlines as a Boeing 767 Captain. I started a wealth management firm about 10 years ago and now have 105 or so clients.
