Hey guys! I've had the ALP/Net Radar combo installed in my VR6 for almost a month now. I'm not too happy with the install, so I'm redoing it this weekend when I get a new grill.

Nonetheless, the area behind the headrests is far from level, so the rear antenna is at quite the angle. I know others have encountered this, but never really paid attention to how they actually made it level.

Detection is still monstrous, but I imagine it's hindering the performance slightly. Any input is appreciated!

it's hard to tell from the photos, but it appears the package shelf just drop off. If there's enough of a surface on the package shelf near the rear window you can always Velcro just the front portion to the package shelf. There also appears to be some wedges in one of the pics that appear to want to make part of the shelf level. You can always mount something off of that area with double back tape or Velcro.

This is how I addressed the issue, a magnetic mount:

yes, you will want to straighten the antennas out - I think the magnetic mount is a great way to go if you can't 'wedge' up the back of the antenna to make it straight

Took the magic mount idea. I tried to use the dashboard mount but it didn't allow the antenna to hang nicely, so the windshield mount will have to do. I like it, just need to tint it now!

didnt want to attempt a "behind the bumper' stealth install @System lol? i have mine behind the rear bumper and still have great rear detection.
Looks good how you have it set-up now though.. These mag mounts are getting quite popular

I wasnt sure how long I was gonna have rhe VR6, so I went more for a temp install. I'm getting a hoist this winter, so I'll definitely be stealthing both antennas. Chances antennas are I'll also be going for the DSP so doing a super in-depth install wasn't worth it.

I like the install, would look a lot better with limo tint though. Sticks out like a sore thumb haha
