Are you just testing the R3 or are you planning on using it as your primary detector in Edmonton?

Its going to be my main. no point in Edmonton speeding as you'll get hit one day even if you have every dam tool there is! It's more for road trips as I offen do 300km plus trips monthly.

I Learn the hard when I first moved to Edmonton and didn't have a clue about mrcd and got over 1500 bucks in speeding tickets! Safe to say I haven't gotten one in over 2 years lol.

I respectfully disagree with your statement. With the right tools, you can travel above the PSL in Edmonton. Obviously, there will always be a risk as nothing is 100%, but that is the same no matter where you exceed the PSL.

Btw R series can't detect MRCD/CT so you'd be on the same spot

Yes sir stay awhile and talk to Dukes
The worst place in the country for speeding but with the right equipment you can detect and deflect any threats you may encounter

Yeah. I get that. You just have to be very careful driving around the city. Even spending on Waze which is unreliable much of the time. (they'll be times I mark a radar spot but no one else gives it the thumbs up so it disappears quickly)

But even being careful it's pretty hard to stay below PSL+6kph when traffic is firing past you.

I was running an old filter less detector just for out of town trips and it did save my ass a few times before I picked up the RPM.

There are areas that will mark police about 5x in 10 mins on the Interstate

Minimum daytime on the Interstate here once every 7 mins but usually once every 5 or 12 likes an hour
But during rush hour can go into the low 30s in 1hr for a trap

You should start a Facebook waze campaign those numbers are rough

My usual cruise speed is 20-40kmh above the speed limit within city limits. Highway cruising speed is 159 in 110 zone. No tickets, no pull overs.

The good thing with the r3 is they marked almost all the mrcd spots as a red light camera which was nice of them to go out of Thier way to do that.

I had an uniden lrd950 and got insane range of ka 34.7. One time over 4km warning on 82st. I was near 153ave the UC Ford F-150 was on like 123ave or so

This city you need mrcd detection along with a radar jammer. Ppl are using the radenso M right now. But I don’t recommend anyone getting it. The MRCD false is **** and will annoy the **** out of you. There’s suppose to be a new firmware being released to help it. But honestly who knows when they will release it. Seems like it’s always “close” to be released.
