    Hey guys, here's my setup.

Yes, the front sensors are about 1 inch recessed in the grille but the brackets are fully adjustable. I plan to test it out and move it forward if it's an issue. The rear radar is in the rear bumper behind a flat part and seems to work great.

    Full details here: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg-clk63-amg-w208-w209/497147-megacrazy-s-build-thread-8.html

Rear sensors are leveled with some 3D printed shims.

Swapped out the parking sensor display for a custom project that displays all sorts of info, including directional arrow info from the ALP. The Hifi speaker is integrated in it.

You can see the directional arrows in action here:

Those front sensors will fail all day long being stuck in behind the grill like that. On my CLK I put the sensors on the bottom of the center slat of the grill sticking out about a quarter of an inch.

That remains to be seen. Like I said, I will easily adjust them on location. I don't want sensors sticking out 1/4 inch from my grille.

That is a super cool setup. That's all bespoke work?

ill see if i can dig up pictures from my old install so you can check it out. I miss the car, jammers are required on cars like that, its hard to keep out of the skinny pedal lol is your grill black?

[IMG] This was before I moved them since you can see the right one was messed up, they do stand out a lot more in that location but the protection benefits are greater which was more important to me since I drove that car fast allllll the time

Yup my grille is painted black. Mine are in the lower slats. I want to test out a couple of things like if reflection off the grille is an issue or being recessed about 0.5 inches actually makes a difference. They seem to have a beam pattern of roughly 30 degrees so I am not sure it will matter.

I am not the fastest driver...only on longer trips ;)

lol I set my CLK up to do the cannonball run, I had the antennas on the trunk, jammers, scanners, CB, Ham, Couple of GPS units, an a couple Radar Detectors, had a second fuel tank ready for the trunk, and a spare behind the passengers seat. It was a fun car, but then the transmission blew up on me.

    Wow, too sweet!

How did you do the HUD? Did the vehicle already come with the projector or was it added in?

Thanks thanks. All custom made by me...the mbworld thread posted up top has all the details of the different iterations and all that stuff. On another note, if anyone wants to do a custom display and needs help showing arrows from the ALP...I can help :)

What did you do with the LED and how did you integrate it into your cluster?

The cluster is a custom display that shows other info when the ALP is silent. When the ALP starts warning the cluster displays arrows (front/back/both). I designed a small custom board that can read the LED you guys gracefully provide. No need for an LED anymore.

Nice! I am too chicken to try something like that haha. Looks like fun though. How did you manage to grenade the 722.6? Or was it the .9?
