I'm glad I didn't read in that article what the cops could charge us with for using jammers.
I see you found the person mentioned in the other thread (the one about RDs and Virginia).
LMAOOOOOOOOO, Nope, not until you just mentioned it... lol, oh thats funny..
Yet another marketing tactic to lure departments to fight the evil 1% by spending extra. LOL spending TAX dollars at its finest...

Lots of false information in that article and like @Stkrdknmibalz said less than 1%
In reality it's much less than that
A trooper could shoot hundreds of cars on shift maybe thousands and not shoot one with a jammer
When he did hit the 1 car the jammer might not be wired correctly or have the correct hardware for the vehicle or simply not work at all because there are so many companies selling garbage
The article numbers are skewed
Jammers are few and far between
Jammers that work
Basically non existent
You're right. Try mentioning the price of parking sensors to someone that thinks they would be interested in buying a set. They are quick to say, "I will just slow down."
People who use radar detectors are probably near 1% (I think it's dwindling...) of the population. And I'm reasonably sure that people using lidar jammers are 1% of that.
This needs to be moved out of General.
