IMO the only thing rdf will ever have as far as social media goes is public groups - mainly consisting of links to threads being posted. A private group would suggest that there is some information of some kind behind the curtain on a server which we have zero control over, and that should never be the case.
Nothing being posted to social media is anything that couldn't be found on the public face of our website anyway... making it no bigger threat then our website is.
And honestly the bigger rdf gets, the more control over the flow of information we have, and that is the most important thing.
I actually brought it up with cjr earlier this month and cjr being cjr was against it but I still think it would be a good idea to create an rdf leadership position for a full-time social media director - it would be a moderator level position and I'm sure with all the younger guys around these days someone would jump at the opportunity to do it.

I'm not sure what they would see, but I'm not real concerned what groups a friend might see I'm a member of. I have many interests, and I live in a relatively free state, so not overly worried what opinions others may carry of myself at this point in life
