Good point. WS, R3 should take the cake. Thanks

Sorry guys, Salty's R3 didn't make it out to to the meet. But we had two others today! Jhaggy and Andrew21 had theirs.

Too bad for Salty's R3 not being able to make it the play. It would have been an oppurtunity to diagnose his unit. Good luck and safe testing gjys.

Just came across this thread. Located in Northern NJ with a R3 but interested in all the results. If I knew about this and could have skipped out of something else I had scheduled from 10-2pm I might have considered coming over to see all the testing first hand. Looking forward to the info when it's ready to be shared.

I'll be posting up the results shortly

Posted from my Pixel XL using the RDF Mobile App!

Terrain was tough. I can't lie and tell you that it was a flat road because it sure wasn't. The was one big hill and a curve before the detection occurred.

I don't have the pictures of the terrain but one of the guys has a video of the course.

Redline average of .9, rlex average of .88, and r3 (narrow) average of 1.02. Seems in line with what everyone expected. Thanks for the testing!

Thanks for testing guys, very revealing. I haven't seen the video of your course but sounds like it was a bit more terrain and vegetation impacted than some other tests comparing the original Redline and Uniden R3/R1. Non of these results is surprising particularily the lack of separation between the Redline and the R Series set to Ka wide. Also, the consistency between runs with the Uniden R set to Ka Narrow. These things are what I've been seeing in testing too. Getting 1/10 more range or, about another 500 ft. consistently with the R Series set to Ka Narrow is not insignificant particularly in off axis encounters.

This terrain was VERY challenging. Long, sweeping curves, hills, and trees all along the way. Fair traffic too.

This again, shows that EVERY ounce of detection is needed. These are the Benchmarks of testing we ran today.

Surprising for me, that these detections were so close, but that's the real world. Insane how I thought the RL-O, and my O, and the R series would be pulling crazy detections, especially over the 950. But that clearly wasn't the case. Hope to get some video footage, and some pics for you guys up later.

Thanks to everyone who made it out Andrew21 Jhaggy omgboost a great group of guys I got to meet today.

Unfortunately, junhalo and hamada128 couldn't make it. But that's ok! Always next time.

For NY and dealing with out of tune, I am more inclined in running my redline than my R3 after running today's test IMO. Ka wide does infact impact the range to that less of the redline not by much but it does. Again this is only one test. R3 definitely takes the cake though in Ka narrow but again literally by a hair in this course. Not even a half block more.

I should also add, my $200 LRD950, actually did quite well on 34.7(what we tested today). It kept up with $400-$600 detectors, that in itself is also amazing to see.

Your lrd sniffed out one detection longer than the Ex! And matched the other two.

Yeah. I can't believe it beat the EX. That's a $400 difference relatively speaking!

These tests are the brutal ones, and the EX just got a face full of Uniden today!

Very pleased to see this. It sure has been a solid midrange detector, even better.

Thanks to all for the testing.
