Yeah I saw that one as well quite a while back and it looked promising. Hopefully beta testers can do different mounting situations and different detection possibilities as well. Several units need to be tested in several different ways. Not just one unit and one Elite.

Is there a correct top or bottom, or upside down way of mounting the NR? Any issues when mounting the NR upside down?

BRD has stated that upside down is fine but I suspect sideways would create issues against some radars. Members from Europe and Down Under would have experience with polarized radar and RD orientation issues.

“I disagree” sums up your entire philosophy regarding customer feedback.

Deacon has been making outstanding points that really nail the issue. But whenever anyone complains about functionality of your half baked radar product all you ever do is disagree.

Alright, alright. It's not half baked and you're talking about someone's work here. BRD has done great things for this community. It's fine to disagree with his approach and he's allowed to disagree as well. He's allowed to make whatever he wants and you have the right to buy it or not.

I have a feeling he didn't insult you so do the same.

Whether you feel like this is some "half baked" product and that companies like Escort and Stinger make more refined products is a matter of opinion. The most important thing to consider in a product is whether it does what it says it will do, or not. Everything else is just window dressing. The ALP and NR products may lack some of the refinement you place an importance on, but it delivers like no other in performance. The fact that the system is modular and individual components can be upgraded to improve on its performance is why I feel so good about the money I spent on it. BRD does a great job listening to our wants/needs and tries to implement changes when it makes sense to do so. No one is forcing you to buy any of the products discussed in these forums, so spend your money where you want and enjoy the product you feel fits your needs best.

+1 I have experience with both the Escort and the Stinger to the tune of almost $8000 for both full setups. The Stinger and it's window dressing is in a landfill someplace and I gave away the max360 ci to another member for testing. I now run the ALP/Netradar full protection front and rear. Comparing all of the features, the ALP/Netradar is in IMHO the best of them all. While some on this forum may not like some of the response from Tom @BRD, he has always been a true gentlemen to me with some of my requests and questions, and second to none for service as well as providing updates. Again having owned all three products, out of the box the ALP/Netradar performed the best, and the quickness of updates based on user feedback, is light years ahead of the others.

Absolutely. Better range...perhaps similar to the r3.

Tom @brd mentioned in a post that one in the rear would be overkill and not necessary. Kind of on the fence myself. With my connections/mounting it is easy to experiment and see what works best for me. So I may buy one initially and mount rear facing first, to see if it is necessary, or if the original head would suffice. On one hand I would like the range if someone tries to sneak up from behind, on the other hand it may get annoying after you pass and encounter to pick up the signal the extra distance. I think it will be a matter of preference and what you feel comfortable with.

What the hell is overkill in countermeasures???

    :derp:

Ok, to be more specific, if we have the level of control over sensitivity that we have with the r3, I'd do one front and one back and have different settings or profiles for city and highway. May even run k-off in the rear or at 30%, Would probably run KA at 100% front and rear and tap mute to watch the bogey roll by.
