Quad ALP against XLR is plenty. You won't notice any difference adding a TX head other than against the Dragon. It's not a bad idea to have for piece of mind though.
Unless you are shooting from overpasses the TX will make a difference with all guns in those cases.

I tried shooting out on the main road with GASpeed TSS, using an bulletin board post to steady the gun and it was a lot harder then you think getting the speed to register quickly on car coming down the highway.

I've got a tripod I've gotten pretty good at using for TSS/Prolite+ work. Wish I had one of those little monocular adapters I'd love to record runs, but too cheap to spend any more on this expensive hobby hahah

As a reminder to everybody I've still got my prolite+ up for sale for $450.

.
You were using the smaller TruSpeed S and not the larger LTI 20/20? With the TSS have you tried using a screw in broom handle or telescoping walking stick as a steady pivot point? Works if the Target is coming at you and you have little or no need for sided to side movement. Not to hard on the back either, just a slight bending forward.

The Dragon Eye compact has been the easiest to use so far out of the Lidars I have had an opportunity to handle.

BTW is there a standardized method for testing for PT?

Yes, but I think we probably shouldn't get too specific since we don't want methods of 'finding' PTs to be public.

Basically, shoot driver, center, and passenger side front and back (if applicable) and wait for the lock, record the distances.

Thanks! That is what I meant (should have worded that differently) IE if the Forum already had a test method formulated, not a description of what the method was.

Might have to make it a multi-stater. Doesn't look like anyone is interested in a Middle Tennessee meet.

Maybe we can all meet in Chattanooga. Probably equal distance from CLT, BNA, and ATL.
