I think I've "fixed" it.
I connected it up in another vehicle using the same supplied power adapter and it completed the self test. I immediately did a factory reset, then reconnected it back up in my car and it has been working fine for the last few days, Fingers crossed!

Incorrect Speed Warning in both direction at the following location. There is NOT a speed camera anywhere in the area. I'm running v1.50 with the July GPS data. Previous version was the same problem.

What do I need to do to replace the display on my R3. It's washed out pretty bad. I purchased it from BRD back in 2017.

Need a 2nd single suction mount for my other vehicle for the R7 and I could not find the ones that came with the unit online. All I see around online is the old style single suction mount from the R3. The suction mount that came with the unit really sticks and like the way the R7 mounts to it compared to the old style single suction mount of the R3. Can @UnidenSupport or anyone here know where to buy one like the one take came with the unit?

Bit of an issue, my new to me r3 was updated with the latest firmware thanks Mithheru and was working perfectly but suddenly the sound stopped working. Tried reflashing but it keeps failing on the download with a message that download failed reconnect and retry. Bottom corner is saying sound data as if thats the part that it gets stuck on. Tried recovery mode, it goes a bit further then same message. Think I have a brick!

Or a corrupt download file. Try downloading it from the Uniden website and then try that in recovery mode.

I think I know what I did, late last night while wiring it up I connected my bluetooth dongle to the audio out and tried to pair with my helmet intercom but it didnt work. This morning I realised I had the dongle on rx not tx so it would have been sending a signal into the port duuuh!!! I have probably fried something...

I'd still try getting a fresh file and updating in recovery mode. If it tell you it failed, just hit start again, and if that doesn't work, hit the disconnect button and then the connect button and try again.

Did anyone come up with a solution to the intermittent power off issue? This has occurred on two R3s, but only in my 2016 Chevrolet SS with a mirror tap which worked fine on my BEL 300 and RX65 units.

Usually, after starting the car, within a couple minutes, the unit plays its power off sound and shuts off. It immediately starts up and then typically runs fine.

It has been suggested that I try a 100 microfarad capacitor in the power lines to filter transients but I haven't tried that yet.

Any help is appreciated!

Gen5DIY did find a fix for it. Are you using their harness?

As mentioned GEN5DIY.com has a harness for the 6th gen Camaro. My daily is a '17 SS Fifty edition and it works flawless with the capacitor inline.
You've probably already put 2 and 2 together and noticed it only power cycles when traction control kicks in.
