Yesterday after the Max360CI event I was heading home on the highway. I ran up on a 2012 Nissan GTR running jammers of some sort. I had my LRB on hand so I decided to give him a few pokes. It looked like he had LSP's on the front, but he had the rear license plate jammer that came with the ZR4's. IIRC there was a style of LSP rear head that was similar to this? See below:

    rear.

Anyways, I gave him a poke and got an IPT on his rear, aiming directly at the plate. Has anybody seen IPT's against that setup in the rear? My LRB is crazy old and I find it strange that they couldn't even handle that.

If anybody is interested in the video my camera may still have it so I can grab it. All the video really has are my ALP's going off catching reflections haha. I had LSP's for a while, and they seemed to have served me well so this was surprising..

Maybe they don't jam either like the new LI.

Haha couldn't be. LSP had the most ghetto software. It was hardly able to user-customize. I think the only thing you could adjust was something like "sun interference"? He must have been wondering what was going on. Btw, when in first poked him he was going PSL +35 mph = enough to get an auto court date

lol that's kind of messed up. If it were me, I'd still be wondering what happened and being grateful for not having a ticket.

That's the rear head off a ZR4, a very old legacy jammer. The front heads look like LSP or even LIs, but you can't mix n match. That whole system is ZR4.

Strange. I know the LSP's have the bubble on the sensors that you see on newer jammers. Wonder why he has such a crummy setup on such a quick car

    - - - Updated - - -

Yeah he dropped down to PSL pretty quick. Still wouldn't have made a difference haha. I don't understand why even a system that's 10 years old can't jam a gun older than that..?

    - - - Updated - - -

Right? He looked at me but didn't give it a second thought. He may not even know how they work. His brakes lit up right away so they were definitely activated

PointerCone so with the LSP's, if you're running rear heads it's the same as the front heads, correct?

No, the LSP have separate rear heads just like LI or the new ****erMax. The old ZR4 were two front and 1 larger rear, the larger one in rear like you see in your photo above. The rear one only covered the rear plate and was probably more psychological than anything. I will give them this: for their time, they were very effective /sensitive receivers . Can't take a bow as jammers though.

The rear ZR4 jammer was next to useless. Also, he may have had them configured as receive only.

Lastly, if he really did have LSP heads with the bubbles up front, I don't believe they can be mixed & matched with the older ZR4 heads like what he has in the rear. I'm surprised such a setup even works, but maybe it does, with the LSP heads plugged into the LSP bridge that then plugs into the front sensor ports on the 9500ci, and the rear ZR4 head plugged into the rear sensor port on the 9500ci (not the LSP bridge).

Either that or he doesn't have a 9500ci at all, but just a standalone LSP (or LI) up front and an older ZR4 system with just the rear head connected for rear.

I'm surprised the LRB got IPT on the ZR4, I mean they are from the same generation and all. For a couple of years I had good results especially long distance with the rear ZR4 on my GTO. It handled the PL3 and the UL 20/20 fine. We could get PT's on it but only close range like under 400 feet and aiming for the tail lights.

However my ZR4 did suffer a glitch later in it's life and stopped being effective at all, the software provided no indication the system was ineffective. I had to physically test it against a real gun not a tester since it would alert but other than that did nothing. I migrated the the Blinder M47 after that and left Escort jammer products alone.

OP stated his ALP went off from reflections. The ZR4 probably got confused as a result. Similar effects can be seen with ALP.
