    I turn off both. Front assist (autonomous braking and active cruise in VAG speak), and ESP. In my last car, ESP even in sport mode kept preventing deliberate slides well before I would pull the tail back in.
    I guess I'm just set in my ways. It seems to work for me, has done for 50 years driving.

    Never. I'll be on a mobility scooter before I'd contemplate that. I'm a petrolhead until my dying day. No electric motors, and no nannies, if I can kill them.

    I have an 08 highlander hybrid and have never had a problem with my V1.

    So, it begs the question, what happens when the aux battery goes bad?? Do they cover it or do you?? Will car still start??
