Okay, folks - got some questions for those who have tested the VIP's LaserShield performance.

I've noticed it looks like most people are using Fibers, rather than transmitter squares.
It's also been noted that the VIP's laser performance is sub-par (eg. to ALP).
Anyone noticed a difference in actual jamming performance between TX Fibers and TX Squares?

I get the impression a lot of the performance issues may be related to usage of the fibers.

Good question... There is a thread somewhere Mirage suggests he got better performance out of squares than fibres, and stands to reason too since it allows for a larger transmitter than the fibre, as in more surface area. But I think it's a two fold issue, I'm finally getting good performance out of my fibres but only after a lot of experimentation as to what is right for my car, mounting fibres straight and level is much harder than squares.
It's still no ALP system, but it does have potential to be very good, and who knows maybe another LAB release to put it on par to the ALP.
