NoPhoto should not be a license to run the cameras, more of if you are in an unavoidable situation does the NoPhoto prevent a photo finish... If it works more often than not, its better than nothing...

I wanted the NoPhoto for privacy reasons. Those cameras take pics of plates when you're way behind the white line. Yes, I'm aware of the 500 other ways we are tracked but why give them one more.

Guys, I have a question. I am on my THIRD Nophoto in less than a year! It works well, HOWEVER, I keep getting water inside of it! This will be my THIRD exchange. Luckily, the shop exchanged it for me no problem, and I just found this third unit is the same today. I will have to call them for my FOURTH one tomorrow. Moisture just starts to build up in the flash area and I can see droplets of water!

Are these things not sealed well? Did this happen to anyone else?

Yeah I had this happen as well. It was like a swimming pool inside the noPhoto. Not good when we're talking about electronics. The weak area looks to be the clear plastic lens in front of the flash. I guess the weather sealing around it isn't spot on. When I contacted them, they offered to send me a replacement unit as well. Sounds like this is definitely an issue they need to address.

Personally, if you can't get in touch with them I'd hit it with some marine grade silicone sealant. That's what I'm planning to do to mine now that you and Vortex mentioned the issue.

Welp, my replacement noPhoto has water building up inside the unit as well. It's more like condensation right now as opposed to the swimming pool that my first one turned into, but they're gonna send me out a third unit now.

    noPhoto2-water.

This seems like a recurring issue so I asked if there'd be anything different about the replacement to help prevent this from happening again and here's what they shared:

Good. Ask them if they'll tell us how to up the flash. They won't respond to me.

I asked 'em and am still waiting to hear back as well. I'm not sure what they're working on in terms of future development.

The new noPhoto came in (#3) and I'll install it this weekend. Hopefully the QC testing they're doing now helps to ensure we get waterproof models now.

We install these at my shop. Voxx tells us they have modified all the units, but we have another one going back via RMA this week. Time will tell on the new manufacturing.

My second unit on my daily driver was filled with water droplets in the lens this morning. I'll be reaching out to them soon. Other than bad seals it must have to do with barometric pressure difference.

I think I will take apart the one that failed last year out of warranty and see if I can seal it properly... after it fogged up like this one it sat in my garage for a year and looks clear again. Also no corrosion appears to be present on the PCB.

I got a nophoto at the start of the summer and just got a new one sent to me for the exact same problem. Hoping the new unit is sealed up better!
