Had my second ALP head replaced by CarTunes today. I have to say they have been great with after-purchase support and haven't charged me a dime to fix thethe 40% failure rate I've experienced on my ALP heads. All of this on top of great install fit and finish. Great local company for you Atlanta area folks.

I've had two heads completely fail. Throwing constant errors that don't go away until the head is unplugged.

I've had them install ALP on three of my cars in the last 18 months and they're always amazing. Also took care of a bunch of stuff on my recent GT3 install like backup cam, cigarette power conversion and tints/clear wrap.
Not to mention converted some open console button spots to stealth mute/kill switches. Just awesome!

I hope if you had 2 failures they are looking into the install to make sure a wire is not being shorted somewhere and not just replacing the sensors which if there is an issue will fail again.

Good point and if it continues to be a problem, we'll look into that. FYI, these are two different sensors on the same car. Not the same one. One was a center sensor and I can't remember what the other one was. Last one failed in January this year.

Its still concerning. We have many systems running over 3 years still with no failures. 2 Failures on the same vehicle is concerning to us and there might be something else going on. Maybe voltage issues, etc. Definitely something to keep your eye on if this vehicle has another failure.

Nick, the other failure was on the rear of the car which makes me think it's less likely to be related to poor wire routing. If it happens again we'll revisit and I think the car tunes guys will take care of me. Might need to run power straight from the battery with a keyed relay.

We'll see though. I'm hopeful that my bad luck has run out. *knock on wood*

You know it doesn't matter which head goes bad if it's a short or something. They all get power from one source (grey box).

Old or new style connectors??

if box is providing power to others, more likely individual heads bad than entire box? Can they check each port on grey box with a "good" head??

I dont have a high post count like some of the experts on this forum, but i do know all 8 full time technicians and 6 sales staff at Cartunes is pretty familiar with ALP.

I trust my vehicle in their hands.

I think the day I had my parking sensors installed, they were installing on at least 4 other cars. Nick was a great guy to deal with.
