Over the past several weeks, I have been having problems with my LE dongle connecting, reconnecting, and disconnecting with V1Driver. We are fortunate to have an application that is as sensitive as V1Driver as V1C or YaV1 doesn't really indicate whether V1 disconnects or reconnects, even in the slightest. My problems have been extremely glitchy and mswlogo and I have been trying to troubleshoot the problem by sending log files and recordings for him to interpret. We are hopeful we have found something that may fix the issue as we have tried to isolate the problem using multiple setups and software scenarios.

It is now looking like I may have some issues with my LE dongle. So in calling VR today, it turns out there is a firmware update for any LE dongle purchased prior to March 8th. They indicate there were users that attempted to use the LE dongle with an Android phone and it bricked the dongle so they have now upgraded the firmware. This was not the only reason they updated the firmware, there were also some other connection issues with the dongle using Iphone equipment as well.

In talking with the VR technicians, they recommended running an app on your phone called Lightblue Explorer to see how the dongle communicates. It will give VR whether it is connecting properly, version information, and any error messages it receives. This is where I am finding issues, I am getting error messages. The firmware on my LE dongle that I purchased prior to March 8th is v1.007 and they indicate that is the old revision.

Since I had issues with mine and its under warranty, they sent me a prepaid return label, and charged me nothing for the upgraded firmware. Supposedly anyone can send in their LE dongle to receive the upgraded firmware for no charge, I just don't know if they will pay the return shipping on it.

I tried LightBlue Explorer and I think I got the same message and running the same Firmware as you, but it's running fine.
I have 3 of them.

I suspect somehow your Dongle Got Bricked. Perhaps newest firmware will help prevent this from happening and if the will do it FOC do it before they change their mind on doing it for free.

Yep, you have the same firmware as mine. I have a prepaid shipping label, it's going back tomorrow. Like I said they will upgrade anyone's firmware for free on their LE dongle. V1.0007 is the old revision.

Just received my bluetooth dongle back from VR. It seems to be connecting better, will continue to test more. Firmware has been updated from v1.0007 to v1.0010 and when it connects it is no longer identified in the bluetooth area as V1Connection-LE, it is now shown as V1C-LE-386C. Hope this solves my problem!

How does one get that descriptive report from LightBlue?

I am having my V1 hardwired in G05. When the did my F15 the dongle did not work at first.

You just run it. And when you see V1C-LE-nnn just click on it, in the app. I just tried it and it's pretty straight forward.
The first image is from V1 Connection, not Light Blue. To get that click on the blue Menu Icon in V1 Connection in the upper left hand corner, then choose "Device Info".

Thanks, but all the appropriate apps confirmed all was well before I left the dealer’s shop and the V1 dongle BT is working as expected.
