Anyone running any of the ALF systems in N.J.? If so, any thought on which guns it will alert on?

Looking for a system to experiment with. Not really looking for a serious system yet. Probably don't need one at this point. I know there is ALP and then everyone else.

Also would appreciate any thoughts on the primary guns encountered on the road in N.J.? Looks like mostly Truspeed based on RDFGS.

LTI units only in NJ. The courts don't except anything else for Lidar guns.Ive tested the ALF with a Truspeed S and its IPT. Not sure if any updates for that jammer soon. Has no problems jamming the older LTI Ultralyte guns. Locals and NJSP use Truspeed series including the LTI Trucam.

Tested one in NY and was PT. There are different Truspeed S units I guess.

Because ALF is not an option, can anyone suggest a budget alternative for NJ? Blinder, Used LI, other? Probably more interested in detection and learning at this point. Can't justify ALP at this point. Maybe best to have nothing? Appreciate any suggestions.

Well if it's just LTI guns, you could get away with a used Blinder or LI. However, given the PITA it is to install jammers, run cables, and even potentially cut holes in your grill or cabin, switching systems takes time and/or money so it's generally recommended to get the system you want right out of the gate. If you could swap systems as easily as a plug-and-play windshield mount radar detector, that'd be a different story.

Thanks. Greatly appreciate the response and advice. Putting a system in a well-worn daily driver. Probably more about learning and have a gadget than anything else. Will see if anyone local has an LI or Blinder.
