Wanted to get one video up before work, fell asleep while it was uploading!
STIR O vs 33.8, long range detection. 2/5/8, Highway, RDR OFF. I'll upload the same HD+ run tonight. Enjoy!
I forgot to ask, did you manage to test performances of your heads ... running them through ALP, or SA... Not sure did you get computer, I remember you were talking something about that test...
That would be nice to see on the paper... Does connecting heads through ALP lower performances, or no...

I didn't have the standalone CPU so no.
I'll be doing that test on the next one however, just need to borrow the 9500ci standalone accessories from someone.

With the 360 we only did one. Keep in mind it was also unable to detect the MRCD while the Max2 and GT-7 could. So it does seem to be less sensitive than my M5's for whatever reason.

Vortex - Did the 360 not alert at all to the MRCD or only when it was right on top of it? If it didn't alert at all, do you think it needs a firmware update similar to the V1 to allow for sub 24.000 alerting capability? Thanks in advance.

No alert at all. The MRCD's we tested were all transmitting in the 24.0xx and 24.1xx range.

Remember the Max2 and GT-7 both went off and those are using the same general platform but with one antenna.

@Vortex, specifically where?? Like 24.050 or 24.075??

The reason I ask is that the Pro A will sweep as low as 23.950, BUT you can cut that OFF with the K band segments too.

K-band: 23.950 GHz ± 100 MHz (segmented)

They modulate between two different frequencies. IIRC, the one we tested was like 24.130 and 24.115. Some of the other Edmonton ppl can give you better info.

No one actually knows how time consuming testing is until they are out in the field doing it. It's easy for some ti get upset that these detectors or certain radar bands were not used. It would be awesome to see more and more testing groups started.

Interesting. I see your reasoning. A box plot might also be useful. And if you were only getting super long detections at one spot I could also do a binomial distribution kind of thing. But it would probably take many data points for it to mean anything.

As it is the data looks great. Really appreciate having the date. Makes me want an HD+ :p

We'd debated this but decided against it because it wouldn't present an accurate picture of what we saw.

Sometimes a detector would give us a single long range blip. On the next pass we'd get a shorter detection.

If you look at the map, you see that bend/dip? Usually we'd get one detection there at best. Sometimes (I believe it was with the Stinger), we got repeated detections there which we weren't expecting and we weren't able to mark each of those locations on the map using the mapping app we were running.

Sometimes they would alert after that curve (typically the case) and so we marked where it initially went off.

We could include all of that information with every time each detector went off, with every run, but that'd be too cluttered. Averaging things out would certainly simplify things, but I think it would get rid of too much important data. That said, showing only the longest run gets rid of some data too. That's the difficulty with finding a way to present the data in a way that's both accurate and easy to read and understand.

Anymore videos?

The Stinger with the HD added antennae is of interest.

Currently in Western Australia with Poliscan cameras everywhere, running an 8 head ALP system with a rear NoPhoto, which has been epic. However looking to move back home to New Zealand and they're running exceptionally weak K, "Redflex radarcam" mobile cameras operating around 24.035 - a windscreen mounted unit simply won't cut it.

Many thanks for all who took the time to test.
