GPS IS OFF (has not acquired a speed lock yet...it's been about 4 min now), SPEED QUIET RIDE IS OFF, DETECTOR IS on HIGHWAY MODE. REDLIGHT CAMERAS ARE OFF. KA WIDE, K NARROW, POP OFF, BAR DISPLAY. (basically everything to make it as fast as possible, US9 firmware)

Ok Seeing the other testing it looks like I got a dud or something since against an actual police KA radar I am barely 50% of other testing videos.

You had almost a half mile of detection in heavy traffic. To make matters worse, you had that big metal box riding directly in front of you. I would say, given the obstacles, it was a decent detection.

I think it was fine. Appreciate the video, and I think it shows the impact that obstacles, such as heavy traffic and vans, have on detection of radar. Things are getting in the way.

I had a crazy long Ka detection three weeks ago this Saturday night, but it was on a flat area of straight away interstate, at nearly 2am, with nobody in front of me. Ideal circumstances. Yours was much tougher.

Yeah it sure does based on Physics I should have known but looking at all the stellar reviews and tests makes one wonder. This is an awesome example to show that what you read might not be what you encounter! I mean honestly there is a lot of obstacles in a way and folks who encounter the same situation might judge the detector on its efficacy based on that. In reality a lot of crap gets in a way of the signal.

All the tests show a clear path to the source and many time in real life encounters this is not so.

tempnexus how does your RPSE do on more open roads like interstates that aren't so crowded or rural highways?
