Mine's still on 1.22, but I never use it. I just bought it just to play with and bang for the buck, it's a no brainer for those on a budget.
You're right about that. No one has beat the deal Uniden has. The RPSE should be a beast if all the bugs get fixed. Won't it be great to have the Redline/Magnum, RPSE, Valentine, and new Unidens competing for top dog. I think it will be back and forth in head-to-head. We all win that way.

Re: it's now been almost 3 months since firmware udpate. whats up?

Incorrect; Uniden technically does offer these as separate features as cihkal said IF you're willing to flash firmwares back and forth.

1.22/23/1.35/37 offer a BSM only filter, while any version higher ADDS tsr into the mix (and maybe a few more BSM filters as well?). But bottom line, if you want a good filter that DOESN't have TSR and doesn't reduce K-band performance, you can find it in the uniden 950 if you use an older FW.

Technically speaking, the FEATURES are not separate options via the menu, but they can be separated out in this manor.
Sounds like you have your mind made up but it doesn't change the fact that IF Radenso offers a separate BSM filter you would have on one radar detector a separate BSM filter option that worked independently of an additional filter for TSR. Uniden DOES NOT have that in any firmware.

If you use 1.51 you have one filter. On it works for BSM and TSR. Off and you have neither.

If you use pre 1.51 you have one k filter that works for BSM only. No TSR with k filter on or off.

Again, if Radenso does put an independent BSM filter in their firmware it would decouple it from TSR and the two could be ran independent of one another.

Dude, what you're saying doesn't make any sense. The uniden's pre TSR K-BAND filter is and does work completely independent of any TSR. It is in itself, "decoupled" from any sort of "TSR". The only difference is that they just don't label it that way. The feature remains the same regardless of what you or they choose to call it...

And yes I acknowledge that Radenso could and should make a separate menu option for a bsm only filter. Believe me, I own a rpse and I do not want the added delay of tsr.

Edit: I reread your post, and I think I understand what you're saying. No uniden doesn't have the TWO features integrated into one single firmware, but you may achieve the same goal by a simple firmware swap, so to me the point is moot... Except for the fact that the mass market of idiots don't know how to do that. So Radenso would be more user friendly.

Really? That's not very nice. You're better than that.
I don't think it's mean, right? It's just a matter of fact. I dare say 99.9% of people who aren't on this forum, or at least some radar forum will never know, and ever try to downgrade firmware. Most people just buy a detector and expect it to do its job out of the package.

That's very true, but "Idiots"? I guess I was one of those before joining here. I'm still learning too. Glad all of you are willing to teach me along the way.

New years 2016, 2017 or 2018 ?:D
Come on guys give the guy a break. He is doing his best to get an update to you guys and you guys do ask for a lot. How long does it take other companies to put out updates? Heck It took Uniden almost a year to update their camera database. If engineering misses a date because they are not ready what is the big deal? Mike's only fault is he is new to manufacturing and understanding how deadlines are usually not met and he is passing on dates he is given. He just needs to buffer additional time to any date he is given because in reality things always come up and issues are always found at the last minute. This is why I am always on time with my dates because if I am given a date from Engineering I buffer my projections a few weeks. If they are done on time everyone is happy with an early release and if late its usually on time because I already buffered for delays.

^^ this. I'm not upset with Michael or engineering BUT the only thing I do wish, is that he wouldn't get our hopes up. Like you said, just make a buffer time. If it gets out before that, great! But if not we won't be disappointed or expecting it early. I've said it before and I'll say it again ; I deeply appreciate everything Michael and the Radenso team is doing to please the enthusiasts. It's not like they have any competition in this area. When's the last time escort.. Uniden.. Anyone.. Asked us exactly what we want in a detector?

Agreed. He is waiting on others to finish their work product. I'm hopefully that there is a lot of new stuff in this update. Hopefully they can get it done sooner.

I dont mind a longer wait if things get fixed. What I mind and would be greatly upset if the hd external detector gets released before the update. Since this will mean that they are becoming as bad of a company as others, forcing mew development before fixing the old bugs.

Exactly. It doesn't matter waiting for an update. Other companies sure take their time into bringing new software out for a detector... Ex: Redline BSRDR or the Magnum BSRDR. Michael is pushing the features we want in a detector to make it a damn fine detector.

Let time iron out the bugs with engineering ;)

I am guessing that you have missed or haven't seen the humor that I use in some of my posting on this site and others but I am a huge fan of Radenso and agree with everything you just said in your last post

Yeah, I wouldn't roast Michael over this. Again, getting it done right should take priority over getting it out on time. If members keep roasting him over it, he may just start saying "it will be released when its finished." How would that feel? Probably more like some other RD companies that tell us nothing.
