KA From The Other Side of A Drawbridge. LRD850

https://youtu.be/DL6vRV4sNEk
They were everywhere today. I am not sure if this is two separate alerts or one long alert. I think I drove through at least six speed traps in a half-hour and was almost constantly hit by patrol vehicles roaming and broadcasting. Sumer Time At the Jersey Shore! (Range from first KA Alert to Source ~ 2800 feet)

I really can't take that alert tone seriously. It's like pac man is in your RD eating the radar waves.

I will take amazing detection with odd sounding alerts over mediocre detection with nice alerts alerts any day of the week. The KA tone does sound weird at first but quickly grows on you. I actually like it now.

Sorry. I try to keep them short. The alerts were literally stepping on each other.

Who needs a test course? In a three mile radius, I probably had twenty LEOS. Wonder if the women wearing almost nothing has anything to do with it?

And It Continues: End of the draw bridge alert bleeds into K Band from Speed Sign 24.11 Ghz. Please ignore the distraction at approximately 39 seconds. Detection Range: 1900 Feet.

I was wondering how you were getting all these LEOs to sit around spurting Ka...lol

And as far as tones go, the Escort Ka tone has to be the worst...give me Beltronics or even Uniden any day.

What detector is this in the video? Agree the performance is good but I'm not sure any better than a swept V1 or segmented redline?

It's a Uniden LRD850. It has amazing performance for a $129.00 detector. Its sister detector,(the LRD950), uses the same board with the addition of GPS,(sells for <$200.00 online), and has shown to keep up with the top dogs in recent testing. It's one of the best budget priced detectors out there right now.

Agreed, impressive detection there. This video was obviously shot during the week as Avon and Belmar are a zoo on weekends. Some nice memories seeing the north jetty of Shark River inlet. The number of striped bass I caught there in the dark of night.......
