I was wondering exactly how dirty the LRD850 ran and how well it would reject another detector. I only have two detectors to test: an old Solo S2 and the LRD850. So, I ran both at various distances from each other. Both ran silently side-by-side and within a distance of 10 feet. But during the power-down cycle on the S2, the Uniden consistently displayed false KA signals. The frequencies varied significantly, but one of them was 34.6, probably too close for comfort to legitimate threats. The S2 was able to false the Uniden from about eight feet away during shut down. I know the S2 is not a particularly good detector, but I have not read anything about it being a significant RF polluter. The 850 did not false the S2 during start-up, shutdown, or while running. On the road, I have not experience many known false signals with the LRD850 from other radar detectors.
