Time for us to finally make a 100% confirmed list of speed camera list in the boro's of NYC. We can do it by Boro, street location, direction, etc

Queens:
- Northern Blvd E/B between 106th/114th St before the Van Wyck and GCP
- Union Turnpike W/B before the Cross Island between 243rd St and Winchester Blvd
- North Conduit W/B under the Van Wyck before 135th St
- Queens Blvd W/B after 58th street
- Beach Channel Drive E/B in the Rockaways after Beach 104th Street coming up to the school there
- Queens Blvd westbound around 35th street. The camera is on the left side of the sidewalk where the parking spots are under the train.
- Grand central eastbound when you get off Exit 12, there is a speed cam right at the light before you can get back onto the highway

Brooklyn:
- Shore Pkwy off Exit 7 E/B right by the school. SLOW DOWN EXITING

Manhattan:

Bronx:

Staten Island:

Nassau County:
- 537 Merrick Rd Lynbrook, NY 11563 at Lynbrook North Middle School.

Chicago lists theirs on a website. Does NYC metro area do the same?? Also try NMAs www.speedtrap.org. I went to Queens in NY and they have quite a few listed and many are new listings.

Yea, that site is old as dirt and I wouldn't trust it at all.

Actually, it lists several of the new ones you mention and has been updated as recently as November 2014.

I think this a good idea and there's a website with google maps that have locations of cameras http://www.photoenforced.com/us.html#.VI0Kx3vs940

In Brooklyn Shore Parkway east bound near Exit 7 of the Belt Parkway, there is a speed camera. https://goo.gl/maps/QOPGh
Yes. That one is the text book definition of a speed trap; ~30 yards off of an exit ramp from the highway, ~30 yards before an entrance ramp to the same highway, NO signage indicating enterting of a school zone, NO "correct" speed limit signage for said school zone until after the speed camera has been passed. and more.

Disgrace.

There is another on Pennsylvania Ave, for eastbound traffic several blocks before reaching the belt parkway (dont know the cross st exaclty). There is a public school on that block.

There are TWO (2) ON Ocean Parkway proper; actually three.

at the intersection of Ave I, there is one in each direction. At the intersection of 18th Ave, there is one for Northbound traffic (toward the Prospect Expwy).

Those three cameras are (AFAICT) NOT acting as speed cameras- YET. To my knowledge, The City can only place these offensive auto-maids on a block abutting a school. This condition does not exist where these cameras are currently located.

The City, in its' exhuberance over the prospect of stealing as much money as possible from its' constituents, has obviously put them up fully anticipating the day when they are not limited to using these invasive, unconstitutional devices anywhere and everywhere of there choosing throughout the city.

For now since they are dual-use cameras, they operate only as Red Light gotcha cams (I've witnessed as much).

Saw a new one yesterday on Queens Blvd Westbound right after 58th street. I was in the passenger seat and pointed it out to my friend as we were going eastbound and them BAM, camera went off and got someone passing by too fast.

^ Just trying to make sure none of us get caught by surprise! Let's keep adding to the 100% confirmed list. Regardless if it might be a RLC, if it's that new looking camera is can be doubled up as a speed camera so we must take caution regardless.

bump for anybody who has any updates. I go to NYC once in a while and would like to have an idea where these all are. Also, are these laser hits from the rear, typically?

Wondering how up to date the Beltronics/Escort database is in regards to these cameras. I guess more people will need to start marking these locations and upload them for it to become a relevant update.

Replied in the other thread. I have no seen any other ones in my travels so I haven't updated it since.

Waze shows a few but from what I've seen they're the same ones I saw.
