To better represent the events that take place on RDF, we have decided to create an events section. This section will be the main hub for all events taking place - testing, meets, etc.

So we don't have duplicate discussions, we have decided the best way to operate this section is by having you guys to post a thread in your regional section with event details, as well as a standard thread here in this events section pointing to the event info/meet thread in your regional section.

So, recapping:

1.) Create an event thread in your respective regional section.
2.) Create an additional thread here in the 'upcoming events' section following this format for the post:

--

What: Fall 2014 Midwest Radar Test
When: October 10, 2014
Where: Southern WI/Northern IL
Why: Testing V1, Max, Redline, STiR, S7 on K band/Falcon HR, Ka band/Bee III, DSR2X, Genesis II
(insert link here to regional thread)

--

Once done, please report your own thread you just created in the 'upcoming events' section and a moderator will lock it for you.

ALSO, any meet posted on RDF must allow members to signup for said meet in the respective meet thread on RDF. This is to ensure that members do not have to go out of their way (i.e. create a brand new account on any other forum) to signup for a meet which was posted on RDF. This isn't a huge thing to ask of meet planners - if you want to advertise your meet on RDF that's great, just make sure you accept signups on RDF as well.

Again, the events section is not for discussion - discussion should take place in your regional section thread.

If you have any other issues setting up an event, feel free to post about it in this thread, or contact a mod or an admin (but not me ;-p).

Thanks!

I might add that it would help to "report" your thread. Use the little triangle icon with the exclamation point in it at the bottom of the post. This way you'll get a mods attention right away.

Thanks, xyd for doing this. And thanks to OpenRoad for the suggestion.

Cheers,

Ersin
