Will be visiting Boston on 09/02, driving to Kenee, NH on 09/03 mid afternoon.

Requesting info on MSP, NHSP:

Primary enforcement vehicles?
Unmarked vehicles info...
Radar bands?
Special enforcement zones?
Aircraft?
Radio frequencies?
Other info?

Thanks.

last seen heading NE @ a high rate of speed
from my experiences msp use mostly moving rear facing c/o k-band some stationary c/o k-band also rear facing , laser unlikely but not impossible. i have trapster law enforcement points in my gps, that helps a lot. the instant on doesn't come out till night time. NH, now is a little different hand held i/o k and ka strongly enforced at the state line north and south. Being the first of the month and on labor day weekend you will see some action:cop:Good Luck and have a safe trip

If you go the route that Google Maps and presumably a GPS would send you, there isn't too much to worry about. I've been driving the various portions of this route for the past 5 years. No aircraft, a few standard unmarked's (CV's, Impala's, Expedition's, etc.), but their all pretty obvious with brush bars, antenna's, "hidden" lights, etc. Other than that all CV's or Chargers on the SP side.

-Rt. 93N out of Boston is pretty much the Autobahn, as is 495, anything under 80 and you'll be getting blown away. Typically neither are patrolled in the sections you drive (if they are it's almost surely laser due to traffic density), but on holiday weekends all bets are off.

-Rt. 2 is where they ramp up enforcement, it is divided highway and out west it has an artificially low 55 mph. That being said you're still safe 70 or under, 73+ is where you'll start getting attention. MSP is almost exclusively C/O K and Ultralytes, in 5 years I can count I/O encounters on one hand.

-When you get on 12N off 2, enforcement varies by town. Westminster actually runs UL's as well as C/O Ka. Gardner and Winchendon run C/O K.

-Once you get to NH the SP will patrol 12 as well as the locals, they run C/O or I/O 34.7.

-Fitzwilliam there is about a 75% chance you'll see I/O from the locals. PSL is 50/55 which sounds high, but there are some really long straight tempting sections. Also watch for the absurd drop to 35 through the "populated area."

-There is a very frequent speed I/O K trap through Troy. Once again watch very closely for the 50/55 to 35 and maintain it through the remainder of the "downtown."

-Past Troy you're pretty much in Keene and their aren't all that many frequent spots. They have a NHSP barracks in Keene so watch out for roving Chargers running 34.7 KA, mostly C/O but occasionally I/O.

For Massachusetts:

Primary enforcement vehicles?
MSP cars with out the lightbar on top
Unmarked vehicles info... Black and tan crown victoria's, unmarked blacked out dodge chargers
Radar bands? C/O K and I/O K(very selective I/O in Eastern, MA) I/O Ka (everytime I run into it, it's sloppy)
Special enforcement zones? Not sure
Aircraft? None
Radio frequencies? Not sure
Other info? It is rare to come across the MSP using laser, but it's becoming more frequent. They love the Laser Atlanta R and their lidar traps are usually around long curves and bends. I've also seen them using the PL3 and Truspeed.

Good luck and safe traveling!

We'll see, I may be putting them on a new car soon. All those saves are pretty old, I have a few new ones but they're upside down in some format (AVCHD) I don't have an editor for.

Thanks for all the wonderful videos.

Look like pretty nice roads, the Troopers have a lot of hiding spots there.

So from what I gather, I need to be running Ka and K and Laser. Won't have LI's on the rental of course....

Is the scanner any useful, should I even bring it?

Ok, it went well.

Radar: 1
Laser: 1 (non-threatning, opposite direction)
Aircraft: 0
VASCAR: 0
Other: 0

You guys have pretty good drivers, but beating CA drivers isn't that hard.

The radar encounter was MSP. He was running IO K-band, but I picked him up from a few miles when he squeezed the trigger......

The laser sighthing may have been MSP, it was a dark blue Crown Victoria. He placed his car off the shoulder behind some bushes and was out with the Ultralyte.

Next drive: Highway 9, 89, 93 and to Manchester Airport. Any tips? :) Travel time will be early, 4 AM I believe.

Saw laser as well on my travels this weekend, first encounters with a Laser Atlanta by some MSP Troopers out West.

Watch out on 89, pretty sneaky there, they run lots of I/O KA and have some killer hiding spots. A little less on the I/O and a greater chance of LIDAR on 93, mainly because they have less areas to hide.

I personally haven't seen lidar in NH in over 2 years, but it is still possible to see it. I/O Ka is a far bigger risk, especially at night when traffic is light. Try to have a rabbit of some kind as much as possible, even if it's a car way up ahead that may not be speeding. Cops are bored and they'll shoot anything that moves.

You know those deer whistles? I swear you have one that works on cops running LIDAR. I never have any trouble finding NHSP running LIDAR. :D

I don't know if it's "deer whistles" or the fact that I have the worst highway commute in the state.

I left Keene at 3 AM and drove on 101.

Nothing but fog and darkness, you really gotta be on your toes.

State Patrol comes towards me from the other direction and IO Ka............I was PSL..........so I just laughed....and went on.

They really outta put some lighting on that road......I wonder how many accidents there are there.

Cheers,

TFF.
