I see little elves are continuing to update yav1... Great!
The links in post 1 will have the fundamental guide to yav1, however, I currently am not in communication with the new Dev, but yav1 marches on with continuing updates.
Kudos to all still Participating in this legendary ground breaking project which broke the V1 out of its mold and brought it out of the box!
Welcome back @Windstrings! Your absence has not gone unnoticed, glad to see you on RDF again!
Yeah, we were getting concerned there!
Glad you're okay!
Oh yes, just very busy with a new business and my latest love scuba Diving in the carribean with high definition camera etc.
But I still use my trusty V1 with yav1!
I have quite a database built now.
I haven't loaded the last two updates but trust they work fine.
It was certainly fun and I really miss Franky as we all helped him create yav1.
Glad you guys are still here.. I try to monitor but I woke up one day and was no longer a mod and much of my interest were on those hidden menus.
Seems there was a big change of personnel and they had different values, not necessarily worse just different.
And I can't believe we are still awaiting a V2.
Here is the 2.07 beta version I was just speaking about... I find much more stable!

Windstrings. thanks for your contributions to YaV1. Greatly appreciated.
I installed beta then my connection icon did not show up. Uninstalled..reinstalled and tried to restore my lockout database without success. Error message saying I need to activate lockouts. Lockouts were enabled. Cannot backup or restore lockout database.
Thanks for any suggestions
YaV1 was great, but since trying JBV1 I haven't looked back. I highly recommend you give it a try if you haven't already. It's really superior in every way.
Thanks for your advice. Trying all of V1 apps. JBV1 is slick and the transition is smooth. YaV1 just has a place in my heart since it was the first.
I appreciate your input.
How old is your old database, or rather what version of yav1 created the database?
The very old databases are not compatible since they were before directional lockouts were created.
I can't remember exactly what version without research but there was a dramatic change made at one point and Franky warned a new database would need to be started.
If that's not your case, try clearing your yav1 cache, force stop, then come up fresh.
If no Luck, completely Uninstall "not update", and try reimporting your database.
