I don't understand anything that says besides "we broadcast our location and speed".

The Ground version looks like it can only be used in a fixed location, but they state that for "mobile" applications, you can use the flight version and turn broadcasting off. I'm still doing a lot of reading on the new system.

Looks like both versions require external GPS input to function properly, although the Ground version can determine its own approximate location if left in one place for half an hour or so.

It sounds like it would be a PITA to use in a car, even if you went without the XRX, and used a standalone MRX instead. It has no screen of its own, and would have to integrate into an expensive aircraft GPS.

At least they still sell and support the MRX. That is the best news so far.

well according to one of their suppliers they are still closed as of monday of this week. I tried to buy an antenna extender and they told me they could not get it as Zaon closed in september.

maybe they were sold and the new owners have reactivated the website but until they are actually supplying their distributors and selling product we can assume they are closed.

It saved my ass from a bear in the air just a few days ago travelling down 71. Thanksgiving weekend had the cops out for blood.

Airplane anti-collision equipment is also useful to find low flying aircraft when you drive. In some states, like Ohio and Florida, airplane speed enforcement is something you need to defend against.

Linky no worky. Maybe they're just overloaded. But I'm not sure I trust an "aero" internet domain.

    Cheers.

So I may be a bit premature. From wikipedia:
