How does this compare to the CR90? Or what sets them apart?

It looks the same as the new CR-XX body but with red color? I am not sure, seems like Whistler likes to come out with a ton of products that are kind of similar to each other.

Because they will have an online version and a retail version. Its what they now do to help retail businesses not compete with online prices. They make slight changes but for the most part they are identical.

So its just the retail version of the CR90 then, with less features...non-selectable bands, no Ka Max mode etc..

That would be my feeling. Looks like the CR90 has really been released this past week. I will put in a order for a case or two to get them in but I don't expect anything great from them. Good thing is I expect to sell them for $199.95 or maybe even a little less so they are not much more than the CR85's without the GPS so it will probably move into our best detectors to buy under $200 category.

This model is on sale at Costco in Canada for $99.

Only thing is, the model at Costco has an "X" at the end of GP. So the full model is LR-300 GPX

Has anyone had a chance to use these unit yet? If so, how is it?

I'm looking for my first detector in a city where there are quite a few photo radar and redlight cameras (I believe these use Ka radar) and also on the highway (not sure exactly what they use).

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
