Don't worry, prohibition totally works!
You bring up a good point about Narcan. There have been ALOT of saves with it.
It's just heartbreaking when it's kids in your town. A lot of them you know, or know of(small town). It's a waiting game(who's next), and it's one I don't want to be a part. None of us do.
As for yours, that's hilarious! All that trouble for a few $$$ worth of chicken. Lol

I worked in Baltimore from Dec 2014 to May 2015 and every weekend there was so much sh_t going down on my scanner it was unbelievable. Robberies, shootings, I would see a helicopter flying around overheard often. Their dispatchers sucked compared to CHP dispatchers.
A lot more happening there than sleepy Santa Cruz.
So this is it from yesterday guys. Sorry for the key in ignition beep...
Gonna have to turn your volume up to. Sorry.
Someone in a BMW apparently pointed a gun at someone in a Kia trying to merge into traffic here while trying to get out of town after the eclipse. Police are lying in wait for the BMW, just came across.
what happened with this?
Just heard this one:
Dispatch calling for police response to a group of teenagers going door-to-door asking if anyone has seen their lost dog, then displaying a picture of a black male
Now that "racism" is the next big taboo, the kids in their rebellious stage gravitate towards it for its shock value.
If anyone catches something that they wish they had an audio recording of, check to see if there is a Broadcastify stream (https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/) that covers the agency you were listening to. They archive everything for 6 months, and recordings are split into ~30 mins increments.
Let me know if you don't have access to Broadcastify premium and would like me to download a clip for you.
cool, didnt realize they had a 6 month archive. thanks!
First time I hear this one. Lady calls CHP to report her car stolen. CHP officer enroute.
Lady calls back and reports that she found her car a half block away.... she had left the brake off and it rolled down the street.
I could have sworn I saw that on an episode of Cops.
Couple in a verbal argument outside a Sherwin-Williams paint store earlier today.
No more details on the call so we'll never know if they went with eggshell or white, pink or salmon.
