I would upgrade to a newer V1 or a redline and hook it up to yav1 or escort live, respectively. Also look to get some jammers. I have been hit with laser from CSP. Mass SP is also known to be very very prevalent with laser for if and when you take trips up there.

In the hilly terrain, this is what it really comes down to. The redline is a gem in the hills and will give you great advance notice. With the max, you might not hear a blip until there's a line of sight with the LEO. Hard to say not knowing the exact situation, but the redline will definitely...
I'd go with either the Redline or the V1. Sounds like the majority of the time when you're speeding, is either on the highway or rural roads, where strip malls and CVSs aren't that prevalent, thus eliminating the need for lockouts at the moment - That being said, with both the redline and V1...
Unless there's a rule that states LEO air traffic have to make radar contact with ATC, you don't have to be on a squawk code unless you're in class A, B, or C airspace. I squawk VFR all the time whenever I'm flying over rural areas of FL, perfectly legal.

Using Flightradar24 would work well if you're able to narrow down the results by callsign like "FHP###". The flightaware idea sounds more appealing to me at least. Anyone have all of the callsigns/tail numbers for the FHP aircraft?
Funny you say that.. Wish I saw this post earlier. I was going to say the biggest CM for Florida highway driving I've noticed is spotting the charger taillights. They're very sneaky with their pacing techniques and will move over to let you pass 15 over PSL, only to pull you over and ticket you.
I have my V1 wedged in my rear center headrest, and it works just as well as it did when it was high on the windshield (yes I tested it). Granted, I have ALPs.
Lidar aside, the dots will not affect radar performance - They're radar waves, not visible light.
Driving around Melbourne recently, I haven't gotten one false alert. I find it surreal due to being used to having 3 false alerts at a time all the time driving through CT towns. Are there simply less sliding doors in general in Florida?
Anyone want to get a meet going around Central/Southern Florida? Maybe St Lucie area/Vero

I'd be fine going as far south as West Palm
