    Newb Question

I forget the details but I believe some forms of Notifications on Android 8 or later can turn on the screen. User might have to set prioritization for the Apps notifications.

    The Cybertruck is here!

It's designed to compete with the F150 class pickup truck, if you consider that a grocery getter that's up to you. If you need something heavier duty get the Tesla Semi ;) Some folks seriously thinking of building an RV out of one. With 80K lb Load it can do 0-60 in 20 seconds, 500 mile range...

Theia RDF Distro (OS) Possibilities: Ideas, Wants, Suggestions, and all things

Will the Theia have Bluetooth (LE) Communication? Would Escort Block that? Would Radenso License it? I keep reading WIFI, but that can be super clumsy in a car. Yeah some cars have hotspot, usually at some crazy price nobody likes to pay. And Pairing to a HotSpot Phone can be awkward and not...

Theia RDF Distro (OS) Possibilities: Ideas, Wants, Suggestions, and all things

Partitions, "lines", compression, text. Are we in the 1990's ;) You need to think about 1000's of clients that will likely be at different versions and still all contributing to the "borg". Solutions that write to Cloud based databases (and cached locally) until network opportunities arise to...

Theia RDF Distro (OS) Possibilities: Ideas, Wants, Suggestions, and all things

I don't think I missed it at all because you stated what simply won't work all over again. What are the odds of 1 out of 100 active tethered Theia drivers (in all of USA) will be 20 miles ahead you, at that time, with an Active Police Radar I/O (because if it's C/O who cares). You'd probably...

Theia RDF Distro (OS) Possibilities: Ideas, Wants, Suggestions, and all things

I'm mostly referring to your #1 option below and I'm not trying to be idea squisher here but trying to give you a sense of reality. Any "live" alert from a Theia driver to another Theia driver probably won't fly. Even a "Free" tool like Waze with millions and millions of contributing users has...

    V1Driver iPhone/ios Project

It’s coming. You did the right thing. I didn’t mean for beta to lapse. Current change was a bear to test. hopefully tonight. 1577924543 I just uploaded a new Beta/TestFlight release. I goofed though. I usually create a "new" base version just for Beta updates after I release to the App...

    The Cybertruck is here!

Not to mention it’s require by law. Some of these rigs weigh multiple times the tow vehicle. Even with brakes that could stop it you don’t have enough weight or rubber to do so. Did someone mention physics? Big brakes are always good but it’s the whole package (including the trailer itself) you...

    The Cybertruck is here!

Thought you folks would get a kick out of this. Don’t try this on your Ford F-Whatever EV opens up so many new opportunities.

    The Cybertruck is here!

Generally it would require "hardware" but it depends on what the current load limitations are for. What if the limitations were for batteries overheating or motors overheating and Tesla came up with a better way to manage power and cooling. Look at "Track Mode" option that was a software update...

    The Cybertruck is here!

This cybertruck is way more than meets the eye. Check out this analysis.

    Concealed display issue

Yup. It's a combination of the length and the gauge. It can be a little tricky identifying and finding wire that is really thin vs thin ;) The VR cables are the not so thin stuff. When the V1 alerts it does draw more current.

    The Cybertruck is here!

Obviously something went wrong on the cybertruck demo but I thought some of you would get a kick out of this video. I especially like the begging that mocks the cybertruck presentation.

    Theia and military bases

It might be easier for Thiea to get signatures off all Radar guns and only alert on those. Also they might not need signature of every door opener. Perhaps Just with a few signatures of certain types is all they need recognize most of them. As lock as they get the bulk of them the detector...

    The Cybertruck is here!

Interior Build Quality/Materials look exactly the same between Model S/X to my eyes. It’s a bit of the luck of the draw what you end up with on any Tesla. But I think X has a few more things that could easily break. Namely Falcon Wing Doors and self presenting Motorized doors etc. (which I have...

How much data do you want to share with manufacturers?

I very much doubt that. There are plenty of places that have no cell reception and the car doesn't just die. I realize disconnecting Cell Radio in the car is different. Pretty simple, unplug the antenna and it will just look like you are out of Cell Range. I replaced my Jeep uConnect Radio...

    The Cybertruck is here!

The Wall Connector works better if you mount it Vertically ;) I never preheat cabin or precondition battery, complete efficiency kill, especially on Model 3 with instant heat. I always have Range mode on that disables heating the battery too. I have no plans to buy a cybertruck, but it is...

    What was your first car?

When I was a kid, well before my license I dreamed of getting a Pinto LOL. Probably had a few Matchbox cars of a Pinto. My friends that knew way more about cars than I did at the time would laugh their heads off.

    What was your first car?

In the spirit of "How old are you" thread I thought it would be fun to share what was your first car. Mine was a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 Magnum. I bought it in 1976 and it was in tough shape when I got it, I think I paid something like $400 for it. It looked exactly like this (not mine)...

    Rainx

My wife's Volt was actually getting pretty bad at judder. So before I removed the glass treatment I gave it one more shot and cleaned the glass and wiper blades really thoroughly with Invisible Glass (like Windex) and now they seem perfectly smooth again. The car is only 2 months old with 2K miles.
