    GENEVO MAX

Radar testing I did some further testing against Multanova 6F (Ka-Band) and all the comparison tests lead to the same order: The VIP and R3 are always on top, the ONE M will follow after a while and always last is the MAX. Here you can find the latest test I did this week: Settings were the...

    Stinger VIP 4.10.03

I was asking Stinger HQ about the ECR setting and they replied very fast: ECR = External Car Radar So this is just a BSM filter, which can be set to extra quite or extra coverage. I think this applies only for FMCW radar, so @Dragons this might help your redflex detection. Since my VIP is...

    GENEVO MAX

Yeah, this might be also interesting for our Canadian fellows @Dukes FW 1.50 GPS: ON, X: OFF, K: OFF, Ka: ON, LASER: ON, K-POP: OFF, MRCD: ON, KA-POP: OFF, K-FILTER: OFF, KA-FILTER: OFF, TSF: OFF, KA-NARROW: 34.3 ON,

    GENEVO MAX

BSM Falsing The Max keeps MD falsing for mainly Ford vehicles with equipped BSM. This is quite interesting, because I think no other RD is falsing to those cars. There were no KA false so far. Radar testing So I did a lot of testing against KA and MRCD. The Ka part is not yet finished because...

    Stinger VIP 4.10.03

I discovered a new setting under "alert behaviour" in the menu: ECR filter (extra quiet - extra coverage). Does anyone know what this is for? Furthermore the VIP software is now called: 4.10.06 RL+ Does anyone know what the RL+ stands for? Before it was always "UK".

NZ Chat thread - Post anything related to CM

Sorry, this was a bit mistakable. I was talking about a GPS based alert: if the Unidens also support average speed cams as a GPS category?

NZ Chat thread - Post anything related to CM

Are the Uniden R3 & R7 capable of alerting to average speed cams? Or only as fixed speed cam?

    Stinger VIP 4.10.03

Don't want to get everyone nervous, but Stinger switched back to 4.10.03 as their latest firmware. :p

    GENEVO MAX

The last few days I was able to drive a few hundred km and gain some more experience with the Genevo MAX in direct comparison with the fixed installed Stinger VIP (both running the latest FW). Regarding false alerts I can say that the VIP is more silent than the MAX. The MAX gave me 5-6 MRCD...

    GENEVO MAX

The MAX seems to be more sensitive to laser: I had a few encounters against Poliscan and TraffiStar S350 and the MAX alerts to it (which the One M didn't). However there was no audio alert, only a "laser" alert on the display. I think that the MAX picks up the irregular pulses from the lidar...

    GENEVO MAX

Let's get this sorted ;) So far I had only time for some unboxing. But I am trying to give my feedback on what I have found until now: The new case is a bit larger in size as you can see in the picture above. I would prefer the case of the ONE M over the MAX since it is more compact. In terms...

    GENEVO MAX

Actually they reduced the price from the One M from 799€ to 599€ with the introduction of the MAX. Genevo always had a versatile product line (Eco, One, One S, One S black edition) for similar hardware, which will be simplified according to their website. Testing will tell, but the MAX looks...

    What's Stinger up to?

Whistler will not be accurate enough to detect the PSS pulses, as it will miss some pulses. With a more accurate device you can clearly see that the mirror is not rotating with an exact revolution (which is not necessary for speed measurement), which results in a "variable" pulse rate centred...

MRCD falses now more common after update

I can remember there a was a bug in the first FW versions, where MRCD enabling was inverted. You might want to try to enable MRCD to turn it off. ;) It is worth a try.

    What's Stinger up to?

Interesting, I can absolutely not complain about BSM falses. My VIP is on 4.4.16 and has maybe 1 false every 300km. Still not on the same level as my Genevo One M, but for the sensitivity it delivers for MRCD I cannot complain.

Introducing Radenso Theia powered by Rai (Video Links and FAQ on first page)

@Jon at Radenso Will there be a special focus on FMCW radar (MRCD/CT, Gatso RT4,..) in the development process and is the platform able to scan below 24.050? Sensitive lidar detection might be "useless" with convential lidarguns, but it is definitely not useless with laser scanners like...
