Perfect Storm! Douche Bag Sheriff and K Band!

Seems this LEO was limiting speeds rather than extorting fines. It's the lessor of the evils.

Note the cell phone to the unhelmeted head, shoes, protective clothing, etc. This is likely to be a case of honda-cide on a donor cycle.

erickonphoenix semi annual anti truck and SUV rant

Of course, the LLH will suddenly do a 5 lane crossover to get off at the exit for their home, cutting off everyone else. I've often said the right vehicle for Florida is a snowplow to push these a$$holes out of the way.

N.J. Study Reveals Need For Higher Speed Limits

The evidence is clear that speed limits in NJ need to be lowered! The state needs money and drivers are saps who have may be unhappy will pay extortion by LEO. The budget could be balanced by a speed limit on the NJ Turnpike of 25 MPH.

Shame you couldn't goad him into a speeding ticket.

Next Generation Valentine Product Discussion. (Not Patent Related)

If there was an RD with 500 miles range and 360° off-axis reception, it would be unusable as it would continuously alert. Pure range might be the only consideration if driving on the only road across a desert but in the real world sensitivity and specificity must be balanced to be useful.

    New to the deep dive

I don't use manual lockouts. Auto lockouts are safer and work quite well. I do mark known red light cameras so the app can announce them. Unfortunately, the first times passing a fixed radar source such as Walgreens, you will be annoyed (unless you are below the SAVVY threshold) but it's safer...

Set up sweeps in V1 using V1C and set your preferred "boxes" and SAVVY speed in V1D settings. Information on the best settings for your area can be found in this forum. You can choose from several "Presentation Settings" and might experiment to find what you prefer. Decide how you want sound...

    WAZE USERS STARTING TO SUCK

The Heisenberg uncertainty principle states that you cannot know, at the same time, the position and velocity of an object. How about trying to invoke this to fight your next speeding ticket?

If everyone reported potholes in Queens their servers would be overwhelmed.

    WAZE USERS STARTING TO SUCK

I find a lot of W. Az E reports with nothing there but I have had potential saves also. Some people are concerned that sharing your real time position and speed could be monitored by LEO and used to target you.

    V1 Driver newbe

If each phone is configured for different dongles, won't they only connect to the appropriate dongle and thus no problem? I often have others in my car with cell phones that don't interfere with my connecting to my V1.

I believe V1D can be configured for a specific dongle in settings/bluetooth settings.

    V1 Driver newbe

I wouldn't manually lockout but use auto. Set up sweeps in V1 using either V1C (or JBV1) and set your preferred "boxes" and SAVVY speed in V1D settings. You can choose from several "Presentation Settings" and might experiment to find what you prefer. Decide how you want sound routed. As she...

    Hey Everyone

Don't assume the R7 (or any hardware) will ticket-proof you. You must utilize situational awareness and be alert for police type vehicles, traffic slowing for no apparent reason, low-flying aircraft, etc. No detector provides good laser protection and even the best will not save you from a smart...

    Fl hwy patrol [R7]

What non-Floridians will find different is that the rain here can be very localized. You can be driving in sun and see rain a few hundred yards ahead, drive into a torrential downpour and then drive out of it into sunlight in 5 minutes. It can rain on 1 side of the street and not the other. Most...

V1Driver has been designed to be "Fail Safe" from day one

And, with the next release of iOS, and loosening of Apple's restrictions, we are hoping that new things are coming to make V1 Driver even greater.

Uniden r7 getting auto lockout soon?

V1Driver actually sets the frequency width separately for each lockout automatically making it as narrow as possible and refining the setting as more experience is obtained. This requires accumulating a lot of data points and performing statistical calculations on them, both requiring memory and...
