I drive North of the city all the time (almost never South) and X band is used heavily. More so North of Red Deer, not sure I saw X band between Calgary and Red Deer, but North of Red Deer, to Edmonton and then to Whitecourt and then to GP I have seen it lots......

I understand how it works. I don't think you understand what I was getting at. When I press the button (looks like a doughnut LOL) I get traffic, police, hazard and when I click on police it just sends it. BUT on my phone when I click on Police I see sub selections I can make "Visible, Hidden...
The one example I have (without getting into them all) is when I click on "Police" it just adds it. On my IPhone I am asked, "hidden" or "other side of the road" etc etc. I don't have any other option except to click on police and it sends.
I guess I do not use it as complexly as you guys. I really don't have any issues or none I guess that I notice at all.
I do not like that when it sends me a route it is not actually the fastest. I do not like I lose all the functionality when I connect to Apple CarPlay. Other than that I like...

As for the wire being frayed, that is possible I guess, I did not install it I took it to a shop to have done.
