New radar based system in guardrail??

Anyone seen this? I just saw a picture on Facebook so no clue if its real or is what the person said it is. The person who posted it is out of Canada (unsure what part) and said only "new police radar"

I saw that too and thought of posting here, probably the same pic being shared all over kingdom come, with no information whatsoever as to what and where it is.

It would be shame if someone crashed into the guard rail right at that spot.

    Cheers.

I have seen that pic over here too. The person that posted it on facebook stated that it was in the UK but considering other things he posted, he's no expert .

Re: New radar based system in guardrail??

Kind of pointless if it is stuck in a fixed position. Just drive 100 mph up to it, slow to PSL, then back to 100. They might as well put speed bumps there, would be cheaper. (But speed bumps don't make money, do they?)
